C	Charla ST on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We found ourselves in need of a place to stay while driving through SK. Google indicated that there were only two motels. The Quest Motel, and Whitewood Inn. We stayed at the Whitewood Inn, and we’re really happy that we did. The Check In Person was really friendly. The Room Rate was fair, in our opinion. The room exceeded our expectations by having a fridge and microwave, and being larger than a standard hotel room. The Check Out Person was friendly, and made us a delicious breakfast (which was included in the Room Rate) — a full hot breakfast. Yum!! *The rest of this review is about the Quest Motel, for comparison* We had initially called the Quest Motel first for a room — only because the Whitewood didn’t have their phone number linked on Google. When I called the Quest to ask about Availability and Rate, the Front Desk Person kept saying “No Pets”, and I kept replying “I don’t have a pet”. Another person took the phone from them to tell me the rate and that there was a room available. When we arrived about 30 minutes later, the original person told us there were no rooms. Sure — maybe they only had one room, and someone else got there first. That’s possible. But the whole Quest Motel experience made us grateful that we ended up at the Whitewood Inn. We had a great night, a great breakfast, and we now know where to stay each time we make this drive.

j	jim jones on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My fiance and I were on our way to Regina on the night of January 31 when we ran into one of the worst blizzards I've ever experienced in my lifetime. Visibility was absolute zero. We had to pull over on the shoulder of hwy 1 and waited 6 hours in -30'C winds for the storm to lessen it's intensity. Once the winds started to die down we decided to try and go the 14km it was to get to Whitewood. We made it safely and without incident and pulled into the Whitewood Inn at 5am looking to get a room to sleep a few hours before continuing on our travels. It was closed to our surprise. So we called the phone number on the door and spoke with the hotel manager. He was at home and said that they don't open until 7am. I told him our story and pleaded with him to come in early so that we could get refuge from the blizzard. He agreed and was there within 10 minutes. That man was an absolute life saver in our moment of need. I praised him and thanked him repeatedly for his compassion. The next time we are in the area, we will be stopping in again to experience the exceptional hospitality of the Whitewood Inn.
