I loved how they encouraged audience participation. My school aged child enjoyed the performance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am biased, because this is the venue for my wedding! It was a great venue, and we were able to have the ceremony and reception at the same location. Loved it all around. If I *had* to leave a negative comment, it was the dining area upstairs lacked A/C, and so it was a little humid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The acting is wonderful and materials are thought provoking. We take season tickets for these events. Well worth investigating. We normally attend matinee performances if this is preferable for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've seen "Next to Normal" and I was blown away! The script, the music, the live band, the stage, and last, but not least, the singers/actors were absolutely phenomenal! The whole show was truly something that before I thought you can only experience in Toronto. Everything was so well thought, to fit a whole story on a small stage It took a lot of creativity and everyone made the story come to life and hit close to home. BRAVO! Can't wait for the next show! Season passes are a great way to make sure you don't miss any, and very affordable in our own backyard!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was fortunate enough to visit the Whitby Courthouse Theatre with my dad to watch "the Music Man" on opening night. The cast was flawless. It really showed the hard work and practice they put into their roles really paid off. The history of the building itself is nothing short of incredible as well. Definitely something to see.

Anyway,
Without actively searching out events, activities, exhibits here. One is missing out. It's not just a pretty face lift, revolving interests are addressed but you have to be proactive in the research.
The not so, A→B way of saying, advertising had a very limited budget. As it should be, in the general schema of community centers.
Parking, over-enthusiastic.
Building, nicely renovated mid-nineteenth century, 'classic-revival' court house. Now known as the 'Centennial building'. Aged residents may still tell tales of the hauntings and 'the crying lady'. BOO!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful theatre located right near downtown Whitby. Quite large considering the location and has a historic vibe to it due to the location inside the centennial building. Adequate seating and vast space throughout for performers and crew alike. Spent 3 years there working in the tech booth and I highly recommend the shows as they are hidden gems for a steal!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is March 29th, 2022. Even the province has lifted the cruel and unnecessary v passports, but this theatre continues to enforce them. Thank you for discriminating against people who just want to make what should be a private medical choice. So disappointed and disgusted. They have definitely lost my support.
