★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great selection including hillesvag and sandnes garn which are harder to find in Canada. Lots of non superwash yarns but also plenty of superwash to please everyone. Store is well laid out and the lady working there was very friendly and helpful!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shop is such a treat to visit, which I do frequently, as I’m only a few blocks away. I love that they carry a huge selection of Canadian yarn, dyers, and products.
The staff are wonderfully helpful and very knowledgeable. I came in with a number of questions about a pattern and yarn. They were quick to help me out, recommend solutions, measure my gauge, and compliment the finished project I was wearing. They always let me browse the shop as I need for inspiration, and are excited to chat about what I’m working on. I didn’t feel intimidated or judged even though some of my questions were likely super beginner questions.
Trish and Glenda (I hope I heard your names correctly) were both lovely and I will look at taking lessons from them when in person classes are offered again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful yarn sold here for knitting of all kinds! I got the Illimani Santi II yarn and made a hat and head warmer out of it. The yarn is real soft, easy to knit, and the colour absolutely gorgeous. I also love the logo of the sheep whose umbrella is being blown away. Absolutely adorable.

And 2 Butter Tarts, a Nanaimo Bar, and half a bag of Cheezies later, it was past the point of no return and so I experienced yarn ecstasy issues ...
... I blame the FULL MOON! But Monday Knit Night was well attended with a warm welcome and lively conversations!
West Coast Yarns carries a wise selection of Canada-sourced yarns and it is a place where the born-again Cowichan Sweaters is a THING; They have homegrown Canadian Cowichan yarn;
And OMG I have a bag of Canadian yarn, a new set of interchangeable cable needles — and I am left wondering ... Who?!? Added raisins to our iconic Butter Tarts??!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I learned to knit here last year and has been addicted to knitting ever since! Wet Coast is my yarny home base. My favourite items here are the colourful Holst Garn and Sandnes Garn and Lykke driftwood needles.
I will be teaching beginner knitting classes here starting late June. Check the store website for details!

Nice small shop with Super Friendly staff. First time even trying crocheting ?, and the staff try her best to help me find the disorder color that I want.
Both color I bought were very nice. They do carry a lot of different shades of white color. I just wish they had a lot of different browns.
The color I got was Double Sunday 2351 & Alpakka 1001. (Alpakka is very soft, but too soft for crocheting, I think it is best for knitting.)
