Since Westwind Medical Center opened, I have gone there to see my doctor who I had gone to for a long time before he and his associates opened this clinic. I was rather shocked when I read this review. and indicates how one review can have such impetus on a business. The staff of Westwind Medical Center are excellent. They know their patients and they respectively treat them very well. Reviews are so often written from a jaded perspective and from tunnel vision. One never knows what is going on at any specific time of day, and if anyone felt shorted; perhaps there was a full emergency unfolding, and all hands were needed. This is an incredible clinic, it has spectacular doctors, of which I have met most of them over the years. I can never say enough thank you's to the medical center staff; and I wish them to know I have always had great gratitude for them. This is also my husband's opinion. Thank you amazing people. Your journey in the past few weeks has been surreal. You have all been such unbelievable staff, Dr. Bailey would be so proud of each and every one of you. As we all were in shock n awe at the loss of Dr. Bailey , as a staff you were all so strong and such soldiers and had to be so brave, again thank you for your care.

Honestly, if I could give no stars for the way the office staff interact with patients I would. Call to book an appointment with a doctor only to be confronted with a rude, condescending receptionist who must clearly hate her job because she treats no one with an ounce of kindness or courtesy. If it weren’t so difficult to get a doctor I’d go somewhere else. Dr. Mason is great and I’d happily follow her to another practice (or at least I’m hoping she goes some place else).

It is very difficult to get through to the receptionists, which makes it very difficult to even get in to see the doctor. I find that the doctor here does not take me seriously, and I find that my issues are just blamed on stress when I have labs results stating otherwise. It feels impossible to get medical attention from the doctors here. A walk-in clinic would be more worth your time.

This was the best Dr's office I have ever been to, particularly as a maternity patient. Since Dr Bailey's passing, this is the first time I've had to find a different maternity office and I have to be honest... the staff at Westwind Medical Centre went above and beyond expectations. I rarely had to wait for an answer about a question I left with them. It was either the admin, the nurse or Dr Bailey who got back to me promptly which just removed so much stress and worry as a pregnant patient. They were all there when you needed them. Very professional, kind, never made you feel like a burden. The women admin were so intelligent and organized. I really miss it there. The admin team really make a huge difference with helping Dr's and patients.

Receptionist are pretty rude. They were rude pre-pandemic, but now it’s escalated. I’ve always had great experience with the doctors. I miss Wolovitz for sure. I’ve gone to this clinic for years, and have witnessed and experienced the receptionists’ β€œbad day attitude” determine the level of compassion, attentiveness, and responsiveness towards patients. I worry that if you catch them on a bad day they might not have you seen, or lie about not having appointments available. Idk. Take what you can get during a doctor shortage. I get the receptionist deal with A LOT, but maybe it’s time to take a break or do something different if it’s affecting patient care….

As for the receptionist, she does seem a bit unfriendly when she first says hello and I have gotten a few good morning’s out of her. My doctor passes away and I met the new doctor last month, but I’m not happy with my treatment. I have multiple infections on my hands from landscaping, I at first thought muscle issues and then I noticed these red spot on my hands. When I went in a second time to show her, she said these should have healed by now and I should see a physiotherapist. She writes me a prescription for an strong cream to apply to them, I showed the pharmacist my hands and (he was the one that told me to see a doctor, to get antibiotics for these infections) he told me to see another doctor. 5mins talking to tillicum medical and doctor gave me his number, I doubt I’ll be back.

My wife's doctor is here and he is by far the most sexist person ever. He likely cares a lot for male patients, but if you're a female patient with female related issues - go somewhere else. Even a walk-in clinic is better than this guy. If I have issues, my GP gets me tests right away or sends me to a specialist - she has some major underlying issues that blood tests show markers for, but he refuses to send her to a specialist. People like this should just retire.

I have been a patient at Westwind Medical Clinic for six years and I’m so lucky I found this clinic when I moved to Victoria. I’ve had many minor and major issues in that time and I’ve found the care I have received has been excellent. Mr Dr cares about my issues and goes out of her way to ensure I get the best of care. The reception staff go out off their way to assist me even though they are super busy. A good GP is hard to find. This one is fantastic.
