★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the friendliest and most supportive introduction to surfing a gal could ever have. It began with a half day lesson resulting in enough success—and plenty of failure—to catch the surfing bug. I ended up renting a beginner board from the shop for the next three days, calling every afternoon to ask if I could extend my rental of the board and wetsuit “just one more day.” I had recently turned 50 and the encouragement I received from owner who was a woman of a similar “vintage” was gold. When I finally brought my board back after 4 days I felt like I had been adopted into the surfing tribe...a tribe with a rare woman surf shop owner generously opening the door. This experience was in July 2019–finally writing a review. I ♥️ Westside Surf!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing school @westsidesurf you guys run, prompt, professional and friendly and price is hard to beat! Had no idea I was in the presence of greatness IG @seppbruhwiler! If your reading this and heading to Tofino for surfing lessons, there is no other place to look... This is it. Long live the Bruhwilers!!!! ✌️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff at the shop are so friendly and helpful, we even forgot to return a pair of boots and they were fine with us returning them the next day. The prices are fantastic, definitely the best in Tofino that I could find. The stuff was in great condition and I will 100% be renting surf equipment from them again.

Oliver was our instructor and he was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Overall great experience and would recommend.
