★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If a 0 star rating was an option that would have been selected. Terrible office staff - experiences both personally, as an attempted new patient, and on behalf of my mother, were horrible. The office manager is rude and has no inclination to try to be assistive. When asked to speak with another person her answer was "well I am the office manager so you can speak to me". I hope the doctors are aware of how poor their front of office staff are as I am sure it has caused more patients to leave than just us. Glad we found an amazing family doctor with pleasant and useful staff so we no longer need to attempt to use their services.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve had the pleasure of having Dr. Esume as my new family doctor and he’s been wonderful to work with and very attentive to particular details regarding my disability and medical situation regarding my spinal injury. The reception staff here are also wonderful and have always been helpful with booking appointments, as well attentive to any requests I’ve had thank you Westside medical.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The front desk staff is always very rude and short. There are numerous complaints on here about them. Also, my old doctor there was Dr. Esume. He’s one of those doctors that give the industry a bad name. He doesn’t listen to your concerns, he will talk over you, every appointment I had with him he was always late. Two of the times he was more than 40 minutes late. He blamed it on the front desk staff not letting him know that I was there. I tried to switch to a different doctor there and they would not allow it. So I canceled my file there and tried to switch to a new doctor six months after I had closed everything with them and they still wouldn’t allow me. Very poorly run and very unprofessional. Dr. Esume is also the director, which explains why it’s poorly run and nothing being done about the front desk staff.

But personally most I appreciate my Doctor (Rehana Ahmed). She is wonderful and nice Doctor, she is also very helpful and she do care about every single person. Highly recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My current family doctor at Westside Medical Associates takes the time to listen to my issues, and is open to discussion when it has come to my mental health and my medications. I feel he cares and tries his best for me.
The reception however has a lot of work to do if making sure their patients feel valued and comfortable is a priority.
If you suffer from anxiety like myself, you would do best to skip this clinic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vickie, she's always so helpful and genuinely kind to talk to at the front/ on the phone. The Dr's have always been good at getting me in when needed and make you feel comfortable. Very glad I changed over to this clinic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very low quality care here. The receptionists are rude and make you feel like you're an inconvenience. I requested to switch doctors from a male to a female doctor to make me more comfortable with the care I was receiving, but the clinic director denied it "due to clinic policy". Even after telling me that she could potentially waive the policy for me if I spoke with my doctor, to which he said he didn't have the power to override such policy, so I went back to the director and she just denied the request without any reasoning and said I should leave the clinic. It was an extremely shocking and unprofessional way to handle a very reasonable request. I hope they don't treat others this way, but judging by the other reviews, it seems pretty commonplace. I do not recommend this clinic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m not sure about the rest of the doctors at Westside Med. I hope for the sake of the other patients that they’re good caring professionals. This review isn’t about a good doctor unfortunately. Wish it was. I really needed help. but this guy doesn’t care for anyone other than himself, it would seem. I believe him to be the worst doctor on staff. Most unprofessional guy I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. He doesn't take patient history seriously. Doesn't listen to fellow colleagues on actions/testing to be done. Talks over you and doesn’t respect a decent schedule. He’s always 40-50 minutes late for every meeting. Repeats same tests on topics already discussed. If you want to waste your time while feeling unheard and then tossed out on the road. Dr. Esume is the guy for you and Westside Med is the place to be.
If I could give him zero stars I would. Time and time again.
