β β β β β This is the only doctor's office I was able to get into, and I've been using them for a couple of years and in the last year and a half I'm very unimpressed. If I could get in anywhere else I would. The receptionists are some of the rudest women I've ever dealt with. They give you attitude over the phone, will be very rude if you don't refill prescriptions on time, and have also hung up on me before when asking if they had forgotten about my appointment. Twice now I've had my prescriptions faxed over to the london drugs, in advance so I didn't get yelled at by the receptionist again only to either go in to pick it up or call only to find it was never even sent over. So now I'm left with no prescription that I need after I asked for it to be refilled over a week ago.

β β β β β One of the most incompetent medical clinics I've ever experienced. Be prepared to have prescription refills delayed by a week. Or forgotten. You'll spend days chasing down your prescriptions. They just don't care. How do I know? They'll let you go into withdrawals rather than do their jobs and refill prescriptionson time. My husband and I are done! Incompetent front desk receptionists who can't seem to get faxes done on time. And God forbid your doctor is away! Then you get zero care.

It is now 2022 and I have had the displeasure of having to deal with High roads medical, with a senior. Dr. Verster's front desk Shirley is his South African speaking receptionist. RUDE and curt does not sum up this facility strongly enough; speaking South African to one another so others can not understand what they are saying to one another...HELLO, we are in CANADA people, speak ENGLISH!
'IF' you have all day off and available for a walk in or a simple booked Dr.'s appointment, choose this place, cause you'll need it! Most working people or families don't...we have a life we'd like to continue living not WAITING indefinitely, then getting attitude from the rude staff about the wait.
When there is a problem, as there clearly is with this place, fix it HIGH ROADS the Dr's here and staff are supposed to be a place of medical aid, not excuses for incompetence Β―\_(γ)_/Β―

β β β β β I was in the other day and noticed how rude the front desk was to multiple patients. Front desk was incredibly unhelpful and rude over the phone to me aswell. Shame you lack professionalism to people and parents trying to take care of their medical needs for themselves and their families.
After my visit with the doctor who was super kind and helpful, I missed a call from front desk. When I called back whoever I spoke too again was extremely rude.
Great doctor, terrible receptionist I guess. You work in customer service, be kind!

β β β β β Brutal ! I came in with a 1.5 year old with a bad cough . Because I came in 8 minutes before closing she said : (very rudely) we canβt take anymore people and that I can go to urgent care. She did it so quick almost like she wanted to get out to go party or something . Meanwhile I had a sick child in my arms . It would have been a very quick look. While I understand people need their time off . but you also should have some compassion for your fellow person let alone a cute little 1.5 year old girl . They need to train their staff compassion or at least what to say when they see a concerned parent with a sick child . Not good . Even when I asked her name she would only give me a βCat β (as her name ) like she has had this happen before . Poor poor poor . Go have a good time on your long weekend Cat and know that your level of compassion needs improvement . You could have said something like Iβm so sorry I have strict rules or some sense of care . We need more walk in clinics in west Kelowna and if we had one with staff and doctors with compassion that facility would do very well ! I never complain but highlands medical you really riled up a concerned father on this one !

β β β β β My GP is at this clinic and has been for years. I've been dealing with surgeons and doctors my entire life and I can say the doctors at this facility are the most well mannered pleasant people I have ever dealt with in the industry period. They are very competent as is the staff.
