Tom's Auto Service did the exact same thing but didn't charge; he's honest. I understand due to covid business is slow and times are hard, but this definitely soured any future business with Westside I would have. I won't recommend them to anyone, rather, I'd highly recommend Tom who is honest and isn't looking for a quick money grab.

I highly recommend his services especially if you are not familiar with mechanics he will take the time to explain to you what you need done to keep your vehicle on the road.

I did not get that feeling from Westside Auto at all. Mike and his staff are super friendly and amazing. They even gave me a ride home when they learned that I had to take a cab after dropping my car off. The price was very reasonable and didn't charge me unnecessary fees. I would highly recommend this shop for anyone wanting great customer service and quality work.

She calls home and says she is hearing rattling while she is driving. She had recently gotten her summer tires put on and DID NOT go get them re-torqued like she was supposed to. I speak with her and ask her to see if she can move the lug nuts with her hand. Sure enough, 3 of the lug nuts are loose. I google the closest automotive shop to where she lives, and Westside Automotive Repair comes up. I tell her to go there and ask for a re-torque of her lugnuts. This is a 90 second job that is done in the parking lot. This is not my opinion, this is a fact. She arrives and explains her situation and that she has 3 loose lug nuts, and she is told they are too busy to help. Too busy to take 90 seconds out of there day and help someone with a problem. To be clear, this is a potential customer that moved to Lethbridge for the next 4 years. An opportunity for this business to gain a customer to help her with her 2003 Honda. They were too busy for 90 seconds of help. Lets be clear... Westside Automotive is in no way obligated to help anyone at anytime. They area RETAIL business, meaning they want retail customers. This review is an opinion on what I believe was an opportunity for them to get a customer. Businesses spend thousands of dollars trying together new customers each year and they had one walk right up to them and they blew it. Thank you Fountain Tire for taking care of her right away and spending the 90 seconds to fix a potential dangerous and expensive situation.

They do good quality work and they care about you while on the road. Mike and his crew know how to keep their customers happy and safe at a fair price and time.

They were fast and transparent about their work and keeping me in the loop. They didn't try to upcharge me for anything or recommend other repairs, and their price was more than fair for the work done. I will definitely bring my vehicle back in the future.
k	kelly holowka on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Westside Automotive ripping customers off on a daily basis! This shops appears like nice reputable business... however do not be deceived. The guys are scammers through and through. They had a 25% mark up on part so I supplied my own exact same ones which they then shamed me about several times, for trying to save money. I was told the total price for job and phoned to confirm. They assured me that this would be cost…I left my phone number and asked if they could call me if there was an additional cost. No phone call but nice surprise on the bill. Had a couple of extra charges that almost doubled what I was originally told. When questioned about the unnecessary charges they become rude and arrogant and when pressed and still unable to explain they resort to anger so they don’t have to deal with you. I guarantee that whatever cost you are told for a repair it will be higher when you go to pay. This place will be out of business soon then hopeful we can have an honest automotive shop on the west side.
