Update: issue has been resolved after being escalated to the regional manager, happy to have it all figure out, but it should have never got to this point Extremely disorganized, I had a tenant policy with them for a year, and then was unaware that I needed to stop that policy when I moved out. I take full responsibility, but the fact that I came to renew my ICBC insurance and it took them another 6 months to contact me after I came in to do that to tell me that I had money owing on the insurance absolutely baffles me.

For 15 years, they have provided us with our car insurance AND our renters insurance. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly and now during Covid, you can renew over the phone. Located in the centre of Uptown mall, there’s plenty of parking all around the mall, however, spots adjacent to the store can fill quickly.

Jesse Villanueva is the very best. We went with Westland because we were buying a home and wanted to go with the insurance provider that was already insuring said property. I walked in and was met with Jesse and he was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and made us feel well taken care of (our first home). Thanks Jesse.

Westland has been our 'go to' insurance stop for a couple of years, They are professional, extremely helpful guiding us through registration of vehicles insurance renewals for cars, trucks R.V., and ttrailers. Take the time to explain options and give examples of why and when options are essential. Very pleasant, patient and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend them !!!

Okay, Insurance will never be a super exciting topic. But I have to admit, these folks of Westland make the topic a breeze. They clearly know what they are doing, always with good advices and keen to prepare quotes and clarify questions. During these crazy pandemic times, they are always open to talk and sign papers remotely. I do recommend Westland hands down!

Last Thursday I ran into the office at 6:54pm hoping to do a quick vehicle transfer just before you closed at 7pm. The door was open and no customers were inside, so I thought this will be great. Your employee greeted me quickly and as soon as I flashed my transfer papers, the employee said that they could not help me and that it was too close to closing time. I said it was 6 minutes to close and he said it was 3 minutes to close by their watch. I get it, your at the end of your shift and all you want to do is just go home. But did you ever think that this customer could be an existing customer, one who has had their home insurance policy with Westland for the last 10 years? Probably not. I ended up going to Langford Sussex Insurance where I waited for 25-30 minutes while 7 other clients were happily helped by two employees who were happy to help each and everyone that chose to do business with them that evening. It took the employee at Sussex exactly 7 minutes to do my transfer. Customer Service is not hard, it’s about going that extra mile when someone needs you the most. I have had great dealings with Westland before this, hopefully this was a one off scenario.

I had a great experience dealing with Marlene Jew at the Uptown location in Victoria. She was super helpful during a stressful time trying to meet some last minute insurance needs while out of town. She was quick to get everything processed. Thanks so much ~ feeling relieved and happy after this experience :)

I reached as a new home insurance customer to the branch manager- Christina K. and she was excellent to deal with. Jesse V. provided me a quote which was more cost effective and exceeded my current home insurance coverage. I was always responded to in a prompt and knowledgeable manner. The time was also given to explain my policy coverage as well as to hear and answer all my questions.
