Booked a Mexico vacation with WestJet Vacations, which included 4 WestJet flights (Kelowna->Vancouver->Cancun, and Cancun->Calgary->Kelowna). 1. They cancelled our 10:30am flight from Kelowna, rescheduled it to 8pm, and NO ONE told us anything until we got to the airport. Travel agency said everything "looked fine" from their end, and did not get notified by WestJet of the cancellation. 2. The transport company they use (BD Experience) in Mexico took us to the wrong hotel, a 40min drive from the one we were supposed to be at. 3. On the way back, they cancelled our 4:30pm flight from Cancun, and rescheduled us to 3:30pm. As in #1, no one notified us of anything. WestJet check-in process was an utter mess of confusion and endless delays. 4. The flight from Calgary to Kelowna was delayed by 2.5 hours due to missing pilots. They asked FORTY people to provide proof of vaccination, including us, after we had already provided it to WestJet hours before. Then an hour later they asked 11 people (including us, again) to provide the same vaccination proof, to the SAME GUY, yet again. Utter incompetence all around. This was absolutely the last time we ever fly with West Jet or use West Jet vacations. Book your flights directly with a proper airline, and your stays directly with the hotel. Pay slightly more, but get an actual vacation instead of endless stress!

Tried to say I was going to miss my flight and lose all money just because their employees couldn’t seem to explain simple rules to a passenger so that I could abide by them. Unbelievably unprofessional and rude to me before boarding the plane in kelowna. Will never fly west jet again lol.

I feel I have to write this review as this airline is the only one I use in Canada at present and I am quite disappointed at the fact that one cannot reach a real person without waiting an unacceptable amount of time on the phone. There are too many options that one has to go through before finding out that your enquiry does not fit into one of their specific categories. There should be a line for ALL OTHER ENQUIRIES or even IF YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO US , press ___ or stay on the line. It is a disgrace that one paying large amounts of money to fly cannot get prompt and proper service when in a diificult situation. The impression the airline gives us is " pay and get out of our hair"! Most of the people I know are very disatisfied with Westjet"s service at present. Customer service they say is a joke.

I am a very regular Westjet flyer, the only airline I use. That being said: I was on hold today for 8hrs45 min. Once someone finally answered (I know it's holidays and there's lots of cancelations) proceeded to book our flight with companion voucher, to find out that the companion voucher wont work. It is not computing properly and charging us more. The lady on the other end (very nice and tried everything she could do to help us) now said we would be on hold another 4.5 hrs to get this sorted, or we do the call back for Dec 30th (which I could have done from the start and saved a full day on the phone). The website wouldn't work, the app wouldn't work, we were just trying to book a flight and nothing works. Even the chat, couldn't answer the questions and then I could not get to chat with a real person. I really want to stay with Westjet, but times like this, and other issues I've experienced this year are really testing my patience. This makes the experience very sour in my mouth right now. PLZ do something about this.

First flight was delayed over 2 hours. Thought I will miss my connecting flight in Calgary to Edmonton but the same flight crew was on that flight. The WestJet staffs were working hard despite all the delayed and short staff situations. Good job and thanks for getting me hone safe.

My partner and I flew from Kelowna to Calgary and had an issue boarding our first flight , Keith from west jet was amazing and helped get us on the next available flight at no extra charge . I always have an amazing experience flying west jet and it is the only airline I will choose to fly with in the future :) 5 star service from beginning to end . (Also if you see this Keith , I just wanted to say thanks again , and to let you know how much we appreciated all your help ) .

Hands down the worst flight experience I've ever experienced in my life. Delayed our flight for 4 hours only to cancel and then did not pay for a hotel for our mandatory stay in Calgary for the unplanned 28 hour delay. We do not live in Calgary and they offered no support for booking a hotel. They kept our bags overnight and we were told we will receive them when we get to our destination... whether we get them or not is still to be seen. The next day, our rescheduled flight is 1.5 hours delayed and when we land we are stuck on the tarmac for over an hour. I will never fly with this company ever again. First and last time. Terrible customer service. UPDATE: Westjet lost my bag and have no idea where it went. I haven't heard from anyone after 1 week and the bag had my wedding dress in it!

Worst Airline company, just run away!! Worst trip ever and worst team ever onboard and on land, just incredible! Only delayed flights, the switch you from direct flight to connecting flight with so short connecting flight that you have 100% chance to miss your connection as all their flights are delayed and it's never never their fault! Then the next flight which is 3h later is again delayed by 30 minutes and then take off is even delayed further 1h giving an arrival time at destination at 1:20 am instead of 7pm as per the booking done initially direct flight and what I paid for! Team members don't care about all the inconvenience they generate and don't even apologize. They should turn into bankruptcy, that's what they deserve, please select another Airline like Delta, Air Canada, Air France and so on, they are reliable and caring for their customers.
