Stay away from the club until they make changes to the management - the board. Impossible people. The changes they made this year made us switch to a different club. They aren’t thinking about anyone else but themselves.

Review has been edited since the owners have apologized :) We had a rocky start with communication here, but the owners have apologized and things are looking a lot better. A good option if you're looking for local skating lessons.

We used to like to skate there, as it was close in the neighbourhood. The board drove away good coaches and made changes to the schedule without any meaningful consultation with the parents. They are accommodating certain skaters though at the expense of everyone else, benefiting the few and alienating most. Unfortunate.

This has long been a favorite community skating club in Toronto, but recently they have really upped their game even more. This season they brought in Canadian ice dancer and former world competitor Michael Coreno as program director. He is super knowledgeable about skating and coaching and also easy to talk to about our kids’ progress and program needs. They’ve also started a new transition program, Rising Stars, for kids who want to go from Canskate into figure skating – and this figure skating program is going to go places! The coaches are excellent. You can also just learn to skate for fun. Highly recommend.

Facility is great, but unfortunately for the club the board of directors (especially the president) are after their own agenda - to promote their own children, distributing ice time and coaches in a way that is beneficial to them, not everyone else. It is also reflected in the student numbers. The registration this year was the lowest, although many wanted to skate there. Skaters had to find other clubs, as the board made their ”beneficial to the club decisions“. At least their kids get an ego boost ?
