★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son-in-law went to the Emergency Dept with complications after surgery a few days earlier. They let him lay shivering and throwing up from the pain, on the cold floor in the waiting room, for over 2 hours.
After another patient went to the admissions desk and threatened to call an ambulance to the E.R. they finally took him in (where there were several beds free).
After appalling treatment by the triage nurse the doctor came in and he took very good care of him. If you get Dr. Dan Honsinger you are in good hands.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some doctors are awesome, others not so much, have had some absolute terrible experiences and disrespect in emerge. Nurses are great, heard a doctor once say to a nurse "I don't give a **** about their problems" not comforting. Clean building, offices and halls are very clean. front desk staff are awesome. Emerge just needs a face lift with the attitude.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was taken here following a motorcycle accident while visiting the city on a road trip. I truly feel that I received superior care here. The nurses and doctors were absolutely efficient, thorough, and skilled. I received compassion and a full level of treatment with clear follow-up instructions. I was informed of all aspects of my condition regarding injuries as well as the reasons and results of all procedures. THANK YOU WEST PARRY SOUND HOSPITAL FOR EVERYTHING.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There Emergency department wait times to get seen are ridiculous i have waited up to 8 hours to be seen and there was only 5 ppl besides my self . They only time I got seen right away was when I broke my ankle and was still 3 hours before I was discharged out . They need more doctors in the emergency when there are a lot of ppl . I understand there serious ones get seen first and all but my point is they need to lessen the wait times and get more ppl seen in a shorter time frame . The hospital in general is pretty good nice friendly nurses and doctors
But the emerg department is bad for wait times even after you get put in a room

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff is super friendly, the doctors truly care about your visit and do not want to take any risks just so they can finish quickly. We were involved in a highway moose crash north of Parry Sound. Do not be afraid to stop by if you are traveling in that area. If anything you would probably get better treatment here then in Toronto.
