West Lake Campground

Fantastic campground. Wendy was a perfect host right from our first contact, she even helped us park our fifth wheel in the rain. The sites have lots of space, quiet, and full service. The wifi was strong and we never had an issue. This campground also had a play area for our 3 year old daughter which was great for her to get her energy out. There is a great day use provincial park right across the street for swimming, picnics or trails. This is a great relaxing spot and we are sad we couldn’t stay longer. I highly recommend staying here if you have the chance.

If i could give more than 5 stars i would!!! AMAZING owner Wendy was just FABULOUS! She came over to say hi and see how many nights we were staying and told us her wifi may not be able to reach inside our motorhome and it sure as heck did! Reached all the way to the back too! Clean and homey shower, did not make it feel cold and public and i love me some showers at home so this was just the perfect find! There is a little park that my 6 year old really enjoyed! They were huge lots and very very well grown in in the unserviced spots! Just all around amazing place to stay!! Thank you again Wendy we will be back!!!

Amazing Beautiful Campground, full service, very clean with nice level treed sites, pet friendly, only 4 mins to the lake and Wendy is very friendly helpful and just happy & very kind. Will definitely be back A++++

Had a great May long weekend in a large, non powered site. We were greeted with smiles and helpfulness upon arrival and they checked on everyone regularly to see how they were doing, needing any firewood etc. The grounds are kept up nicely and garbage from the bins are collected throughout the day. Highly recommend!

I did like the campsite and Wendy was very friendly , lovely playground as well. I rented the RV she has just put up and it was perfect for my family. My only complaint was Graham the night security guy. He came off quite aggressive , they came around to take payment for the 2 loads of firewood and Wendy introduced them where we were told visitors need to to leave at 10 , along with quiet time aside from fireside chat. No problem we say and turned our low playing music off at that point. At 955 Graham comes by to remind us of the time and our friend was getting ready to go , she left. He comes back about 20 minutes later asking if she left , we told him she had and he then says well why is there 3 vehicles here. I felt that he was now being accusatory and was offended at that , advised my partner came back from camp and brought his own vehicle , I had mine and my friend( that was staying with us) had hers for an amount of 3 vehicles! Then he asks us about another vehicle on the premise that we do not know about and told him as such. Finally we had been telling ghost stories with my son (12) around the campfire and then he went to bed and there was myself and my friend out there cleaning up and I guess we laughed too loud. There Graham was again being aggressive and threatening to get Wendy because we laughed too loud , I understand there is worry of loudness however there is a way to behave and approach good paying clientele that has 3 kids and trying to enjoy getting out of town for a night. I wouldn’t want to see Graham again as I felt he was too aggressive and I also felt targeted as a guest out there. In regards to the rest of the amenities and workers they were all really wonderful and had I not had the awful experience with Graham I would have definitely given this place a 5 star rating.

A group of us were there for my sons wedding at the end of May. We had 6 sites reserved including 2 which were trailers set up by the owner Wendy. I booked with her a few months before May. Campground was closed, but Wendy met me there to show me around in 3 feet of snow. She was so accommodating from the time of reserving to the time of departure. Anything I needed I would just text her and she was there immediately. I think I pestered her a lot, but it didn't seem to bother her! Wendy was friendly and made our stay so much better. Campsites were large and although I didn't use the showers, our tenters said they were great. Campground was good for ATV's as well. Just ride right out of your campsite. She set up two sites with her travel trailers. They were so clean and had everything you can think of in it. Camp hosts Gary and Sidney were awesome as well. I will definitely be staying here every time we are in Prince George. Looking forward to the next time in a couple of months

We stayed at West Lake Campground for a month in June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wendy was the best host and our tent site was beautiful and private. It's very dog friendly and the bathroom is really nice! The surrounding forest and trails were beautiful and our dog loved them. The wifi even reached our tent site which was amazing :) If we didn't have to move back to Alberta we would have stayed even longer. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

This campsite is absolutely beautiful, and tree covered areas. We always find our way back, like second home to us, and our kitties. We been coming back for last 4 years, Wendy the owner is just amazing !! and family just such beautiful souls. Became second family, like a second mom. So helpful, and sites are so nice, and always have everything we need, full service sites. we started coming back when we had a tent, to now with our trailer very accommodating . She now has rental campers, made my mom/ family feel so comfortable, they absolutely love it !! And Wendy just can’t even express what a great person she is ?
