★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While it was an experience-and-a-half getting here (don't trust Google Maps about the logging road trail from Renfrew), the Ditidaht First Nation people involved with the West Coast Trail in Nitinat Lake were amazing. We bought a delicious breakfast (and were even able to buy tuques, which we had forgotten and were lifesavers on the trail in September). Our Parks Canada host was excellent, and the ferry service to the Nitinat Narrows trailhead was friendly and professional.
