Wedgwood Manor and Glamping Retreat

Beautiful place, quiet, easy access to the town, nice area

This place is amazing, with a property over 100 years old and rooms so cozy you don't want to leave. My absolutely best recommendation for people that love nature and silence!

Really beautiful place, very cozy and with a lot of charm. The hosts are very friendly and attentive. The bedrooms are very clean and spacious. A perfect place to rest and hide from the routine.

Bought a Travelzoo package for this place,a significant discount from regular price. Two weeks prior to our dates owner asked us to cancel, as it place was closed. Website did not say closed but fully booked except for the room I just cancelled. Bad practice by by owner to raise price

Our party of four stayed here in Sept. 2013. We enjoyed our stay and found the home to be quite nice. I especially liked our wine and cheese on the front porch before heading off to dinner "in town" that evening. We had to remove our shoes upon entering, however we caught by surprise and weren't prepared for such a request, as my husband needs his shoes for support. Had we known, we would of brought some supportive slipper for him. Otherwise, a fine visit, and breakfast was fine also. Beautiful grounds.

What a beautiful resort, it's like stepping into a fairytale! The care and attention to detail was evident in our cabin. The fresh bread, fruit and breakfast cereal on the table upon arrival was a pleasant surprise. The fridge was stocked with orange juice, milk, eggs and pastry. Kitchen even had spices! No need to stock up before arrival. Laundry machines even! BBQ on balcony. Glamping indeed! Our hosts were helpful and gracious. We were offered iced tea or mimosas upon arrival. The main Manor was a gathering place for snacks and relaxation. The history of the Wedgewood family and the apparent period furniture, curtains and wall hangings added to the ambiance. We also hiked to the nearby waterfalls with historic points of interest along the way. Our walk around the grounds was very enjoyable before the Hound of the Baskervilles arrived a day later. This would have been a perfect, romantic retreat and holiday experience had there not been a large, anxious dog and several young children at the next cabin. It wasn't on a leash so we were reluctant to enjoy the grounds once our neighbors arrived. This retreat deserves 5 stars but because of the intermittent commotion next door I am only giving 4. During our exit, in a bit of haste, we left behind a couple of valuable (to us) personal items which our hosts notified us of, but we were already too far away to return. Our caring hosts mailed these to our home at no additional expense which was very appreciated! Thank you for everything!

The property is very beautiful with lush flowers, and huge cedars. The historical home is very quaint and cozy. We were welcomed by Colleen with a warm smile. She was an absolutely wonderful, gracious host. The perfect person for the job!! Not to mention that the breakfast she makes is delish .... And I’m telling you, you’ve gotta try her granola!! We had a lovely, relaxing stay, and we’ll definitely be back! You must check out this property!
