I sent an email to my broker for cancelation however I didn’t reply with the exact day and resulted in over $600! I was advised by Preston that he can speak for billing and that there is nothing they can do so our family will be moving all our policies and advising our clients not to use them!

R	R Yensen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a client for 13-14 years and purchased a home and not long after there was a water leak. It was repaired and then had a second leak 1.5 years later. Same plumbing company and I was told from WAwanesa with the plumbers report I provided and their own contractors that they would try and go after the plumbing company for the damages. I was concerned and asked if I should pay the claim because my insurance is important to me. I’m also very proactive when it comes to my home and take care of anything immediately . This is not my fault or do to negligence on my part. I was told that I should be fine and that my premiums would likely go up for which I understand but just received notice that they will not renew me. I’ve been a good client, do not use the same licensed plumbing company, have a plumbers report as requested and I’m cancelled. Not impressed ! I’ve spoken to another adjuster and they said normally they would increase premiums or deductible not just not renew. The damages to my place were annoying, enough to cause grief and yes money to repair but not extensive in respect to my home being renovated. I’m very upset. Update- Have spoken to their underwriting department and they have renewed my policy with provisions .
Y	Young on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is most terrible and not an honest insurance company. After contact for 9 years, I found much more cheapest company in BC because they got increased too much. I asked to stop contact, and no more extension for the next year, but they didn’t close my account more than a month, and then took withdraw for another month after cancellation. And they sent a post mail for another contact for the next year which I didn’t signed up ever. I sent more than 10 times email to the agents and brokers. Finally after more than one month of cancellation, they paid just a little of bit, $30.00, but never refund 1 month extra withdraw after cancellation. They just say It was I owed money before. But I never missed for 9 years, and they didn’t give me any invoice before. If I owe them before, they have pre-authorized payment. This is not a right!!! Hope no one get the same mistake like me ever. Just remember there are so many great cheaper and good valued insurance company. I am not strongly recommend this company.
D	David Hennessey on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst & most expensive insurance company in Canada. I reached out to Wawanesa's Ombudsman to try to settle an issue we were having. I was hoping that having an adult conversation would bring a resoloution. Instead I received an odball response back from Alex Pamintuan Customer Care Coordinator Wawanesa who said he would reach out to us to for more information but decided to Ghost us. For the record we used Wawanesa for the past 16 years to insure 4 properties. We never rated shopped for a better rate, and we had ZERO claims. It's unacceptable to treated like garbage.
A	Adem Krupich on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was in emergency hospital and during my recovery they decided to cancel my policy almost lost my life for internal bleeding my partner almost never left my side sent home to recover and received an email from my broker never received a letter from Wawanesa Insurance even though they knew 5 years ago that we had moved and never updated our mailing address nor did they bothered to contact my partner by email or calling. I had a relationship with them for almost 10 years as a customer. When explained to my broker about what happened they relaid that Wawanesa didn’t care about our situation nor would change their decision. I’m still being treated threw Ambulant Care at the hospital and so forth.
C	Cole R on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thought intact was bad, I pay these guys for service and they gave me absolutely nothing. Made me almost lose my job because they wouldn’t respond to me for 2 days. Won’t pay for the hotels for that time of silence either. My truck is getting looked at 2 weeks later and they won’t help me Keith more money bc or a rental, the same story of “sorry sir”. Doesn’t sound sorry to me. The absolute worst auto insurance company I’ve ever had to deal with. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Seriously… save yourself the time and headache and pay an extra few hundred dollars to have proper home insurance with a company that actually gets back to you, I know I will as soon as my policy is up.
