*NOT PERSONAL EXPERIENCE* Taking this opportunity to vent on behalf of my girlfriend who recently bought a brand new SUV from waterloo Kia. The day after she got it the engine light came on. It was returned to the dealership and a small loaner vehicle was given. ZERO urgency from the dealership. Eventually they brought her an SUV loaner. Fast forward 1.5 weeks and she still doesn't have her vehicle back. The garage manager told her it would be ready last Friday. No call, no contact from Kia. So today (Tuesday) she had to call Kia and was told that the manager was just about to call her.....OK.....and now the vehicle will be ready this Thursday. We know it's not the managers issue and we appreciate the diligent review and "fix" of the issue. However, customer service DOES NOT END WHEN THE CUSTOMER SIGNS THE DEAL! The lack of urgency, response, reimbursement or simple care is dreadful and I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST ANYONE DEAL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP strictly based on the level (or lack theriof) of customer service or care for their clients.

Having dealt with Kitchener Kia happily for over 7 years I decided to bring my vehicle to the Waterloo shop for the first time as they were slightly less busy than Kitchener at the time. My problem seemed simple, I had a stuck latch on the tail gate (wouldnt open). I drove in to the dealership with a perfectly drive-able car. After their diagnostic the vehicle was no longer drive-able. By diagnosing the problem they made the problem even worse. So I was offered a fix, parts and labour totaling a thousand dollars, with the part itself costing almost TRIPLE what the exact same part (genuine OEM) costs on Amazon (I looked up the part number there on the spot). Since my vehicle was essentially held hostage as I could no longer leave with it (by their significant recommendation) I had no choice in the matter. I could not get a second quote even. This was a thursday. I was told by monday, maybe tuesday at the latest the vehicle would be ready. Since they had no loaners available I had to rent one. Car not ready monday, not tuesday, not wednesday, not until friday end of day was it finally ready. 8 days of paying for a rental while waiting for a tail gate lock to be fixed. Needless to say expressing my extreme disappointment to the staff made no difference. Do you expect me to recommend your dealership or even KIA in general now after this? Be honest now. I spent the last 7 years telling a thousand customers how much I liked KIA. It takes years to build something beautiful, and it takes minutes to burn it down.

UPDATE: The manager from this location reached out to us. He has provided us with the best customer service while addressing all our concerns as well. So far we are pleased how the situation has been handled. WORST KIA CUSTOMER SERVICE at this location. We drove over an hour to this location because we were assured that the vehicle we are interested in will be arriving in the first week of March. Upon arrival, in poor weather conditions, we were told a whole different story that its not arriving until 3 weeks later than promised. The manager was extremely rude and condescending didn't seem to care. Will never be entering KIA. They lost a potentially long term client. I'm sure other locations will have better service than this. Stay away from WATERLOO KIA

Waterloo Kia stands behind its product and goes the extra mile for customer satisfaction. Had a major repair covered by warranty. Took a while, but they lent one of their cars to use in the meantime.

Lackluster experience. From the moment we came in we got a bad vibe about this place. The woman who "greeted" us rolled her eyes as soon as we came in and the salesperson was no better. The salesman seemed extremely disinterested in showing us the vehicle we planned on purchasing. He was lackadaisical to say the least... he didn't tell us any specs about the SUV until we asked, and he hardly knew anything to begin with. In addition, my family and I felt racist overtones from the whole experience. Took my money and my time somewhere else... to a dealership that would actually appreciate our business. I would never recommend this place or come back here again.

I absolutely love dealing with Kia Waterloo (Service Dept) Jessica and Dan are always so pleasant to interact with, they take the time to really know their customers/patrons well and it shows. They are hands down one of the best teams I have interacted with at a dealership.
