Waste Management of Canada Corporation - Calgary Hauling - Calgary

I cancelled my service with Waste Management in March,2020 verbally over the phone and thru email, with one of their management people. The phone call was recorded, and the person I spoke to said she was making notes on the file, and that it would be taken care of. However, I Call Customer service and was informed that they automatically renewed the contract for another 5 years expiring in Feb 15,2026. The contract was reviewed in January 2021 and the contract did not expire till February 2021.I continue to receive invoices and not have any service for months, but keep getting billed. I have received letter from Samantha*****! The letter stated with her sales manage, he has advised me to present two options: A. Continue using Waste Management services for waste removal at an increased rat of 6yd waste bin once every two weeks for 299.78/month and paper for 195.07 plus fuel surcharges, commodity surcharges and GST. B. payment of nine months liquidation damages for a total of 5741.49 plus GST. plus fees I refused to pay for no service. of an addition 2806.35. C. Legal Action These big corporations think they are invincible, and that they can just continue sending invoices, and people have to pay them! I cancelled in March, I am the authorized person on the account, and the one who always paid the invoices, and they should have cancelled the service when I asked it to be! .I have been trying to cancel our contract with Waste Management for at least three years and now the after 5 years and they will not help us with this. They insist on another contract copy of registered letter sent to Waste Management on Feb 2021 prior to expiry WASTE MANAGEMENT OF CANADA CORPORATION ********************************** I will go to court, Please review the company customer reviews and stay away....
