TOO BAD CAN'T GET WORSE THEN 1 STAR.. This company is probably the worst when it comes to contracts, pricing, fuel surcharge & regulatory costs?? Local was half the cost with no contract. You can sign a contract through email but you can't when canceling? Registered mail 90 days before contract expires to cancel or it will auto renew. If you want to cancel, like us, plz pay $4,200 for nothing!! to remove the bins!

They charge very high, that is why everybody left them. Be careful of their contract terms and Calgary office staff. If you want to cancel it, they will trick you try to drag you and charge you penalty to maintain their business. Try to read terms yourself, or bring a lawyer if you were too trust their office staff and then end up still paying penalty even you have already told them and sent email stated: you want to cancel the contract half year before the contract terms. Remember send your cancelation in REGISTED MAIL! Other than they do not agree with you to cancel it.

**** An update from my last review: I was able to contact their representative, he listened to my concern. He was able to help work out my situation. I am very grateful for them who swiftly cancelled my contract without preservation. The guys picked up the bins in order. My faith in this company restored. Thank you so much for those who went out of their way to listen and act on a timely manner.

Purposely deceptive price quotes, and purposely deceptive contracts. When we signed up for the 3 year service term, we were quoted $73.00 per month. There were other charges added to the bill that totaled $94.47. This price was not quoted over the phone, but the $20 increase was not worth arguing about. Less than 7 months later, the monthly bill increased to $151.79?? We called in and they said they could not do anything about the price unless we signed another 3 year term. We are uncertain why the monthly cost of the service is related to another service contract? Our last two invoices also included a β€œrecycling contamination” totaling $66 per month. We were not told what type of contamination it was, nor were we given proof of said contamination. We looked at the contract, and it does state that WM can add a fee, but it does not state how much. So essentially, WM can charge whatever they like. Our contract expires November 1, so we phonedto cancel the service with 45+ days left in the contract. We can not have a conversation with them because their telephone service is horrible and has a 2+ second delay. The representative called me back, but had the same issue. We are uncertain how WM can conduct business on a telephone system like that. The Rep then informed me that she would look into our account and see what she could do. The rep replied via email and were informed that the service contract automatically renews for one year unless we give them a minimum of 90 days notice via REGISTERED MAIL. The registered mail clause was buried in the bottom of the contract, in a different section from the termination clause. I was also told there was nothing they could do about reducing the monthly fee. We do not accept these deceptive practices and request that someone from WM contact us ASAP.

Disappointing.....We've used WM for years and their prices went much higher each additional year, even on a contract. When we decided to look for another company, they magically could change their pricing to less than half of what they were charging us. We found another company and put in our written notice. NOTE: They require a written notice to be sent via registered mail 90 days before contract expiry. Over A MONTH later the WM rep contacted me asking if we would change our mind and stay with WM and offered an even lower contract. A little late don't you think. A month before our contract was supposed to end, I contacted WM asking for a bin removal date, but they were unable to provide me with a date. Two weeks before contract date I emailed again asking for an update and still they were unable to provide me with a removal date. 3 days before contract expiry I emailed again asking for the removal date because our new bin was to arrive on the 3rd of the month. I received a response from WM saying they were going to pull the bin that same day. Go figure! I emailed our new provider asking to have the new bin dropped off the day after. The day after came and we still have a WM bin on our property. Such a huge disappointment. I have had some issues over the years with WM and the customer service/account managers have not exceeded any expectations whatsoever. I do not recommend WM services.

Waste Management during our many shutdowns during Covid 19 was awesome to our business. We were able to pause our service with them and they didn't charge me a single cent. Meanwhile, I know, other waste/recycling companies charge their accounts a fee when they put their service on hold.

No delivery of service, delayed roofing crew an entire while they screwed around try g to find where the bin was. No I'm struggling to get my money back. It's also over priced, I've found after the fact. I will. not deal with this company again.

The Calgary management is very poor. Their driver has so much power not to pick up in winter. All they need to say is "Weather delay". They did not come pick up a month already.You want them to come again,they charge $175. They did not honor the contract fee. City truck can come down to pick-up our neighbors garbage.Their driver didn't want to come down. Their problem can be easily solved, it is the problem with the brain of the management. We have to meet the New Year with messy garbage!
