Hello fellow renters, If you are a guy, you'll want to check out these apartments. If you are a lady, you may enjoy reading my review (Lisa). A year ago February we were searching for an apartment, making a weekend trip from Edmonton (6 hours driving while in first semester of pregnancy (made a trip to Emergency due to severe vomiting from the long drive). We had scheduled 3 different viewings. None which had grabbed our interest. So we were about to give up our search, very frusterated, when we went on Kijiji one last time and found the Walnut Tree Apartments, which we instantly fell in love with when we saw them. For the following reasons: Our biggest thing was big windows and lots of natural light. Second no rug in main areas due to unborn child, we heard they are messy. Three we absolutely loved how spacious it is, best deal for the price we'd seen so far. Four 5 minute drive to work downtown. Five, we had a budget. Six we love the Crescent Heights stairs just 2 minute walk away, absolutely gorgeous. And these stairs helped me keep off unnecessary weight during my (Lisa) pregnancy, as I couldn't even think of running. But was able to walk (and was recommended for the third trimester) and fell in love with the trails, just 4 minutes away. There is a cafe (3 minute walking distance) called Zucchini Blossom that serves the best pastries, weekly trip there on foot. Last but not least we have grown fond of the gas station 2 blocks away (Riverside Gas King), we have always gotten our gas filled up for us (which is soo nice in the winter), and it's where we get our favorite chocolate bar from. And finally, we really appreciate our landlords, quick response, very understanding, and soccer fans. Highly recommended.
