★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Average Wal-Mart. Lots of items not in stock, but due to covid, floods, ice storms, and trucker protests, you can't really blame them for that. Staff in need of a pep talk, though. Certainly not falling over themselves to be helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a customer when I go to Walmart after work I prefer to use the cashier. But I'm forced to use the self checkout because there is only 2 tills open and they both have a row of people half way down the store. I'm not getting paid by Walmart to pack my own groceries!! I work hard every day and I would like to NOT HAVE TO WORK for FREE for Walmart when I go for groceries. But I also don't want to wait in line for 30 minutes. You're a multi billion dollar company and you cant hire staff??? Do better!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saturday mornings obviously are no longer the busiest trading day of they week for Walmart.
Today none of their self service desks were in operation, and each cashier had an average of trolleys lined up waiting for them, because the store manger and their cash desk manager were away for they day, no one had instructed anyone to open the self service areas up and man them.
Its not like we are in week one of the pandemic and no one really has any idea of how to operate, or indeed we are in day one of the heavy snowfall or floods we have all experienced to a certain level.
Wake up Walmart Chilliwack and get your branch ready for business, Customers have money and are wanting to spend it. Not spend hours in line ups in your store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're lucky, you may find two cashiers the rest of it is self-serve and there's usually quite a lineup for the self-serve. This can prove to be a pain if you're doing a large grocery shop and having the way vegetables and whatever. The majority of the staff are not customer service orientated and are overwhelmed most of the time. Even the staff doing cart retrieval are very unprofessional; actually watched one guy beating up the machine that pushes the cards and swearing at it while kids were around. I definitely wouldn't be going there if I could find small businesses selling things for the same low prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walmart is always a great place for supplies. Its great that they're always open until 11 pm, so late night supply runs are possible. The only mystery with walmart is always finding an employee. They seem to always be missing so its sometimes tough to get help finding things! Eventually I always find one though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Garden centre had very healthy looking stock and friendly helpful staff. In my opinion, Hamburger and hotdog bun selection is way better than at the Chilliwack real Canadian superstore. The women's toiletries section again is way better for selection and varieties than at the Real Canadian Superstore. Prices can't be beat! Things to keep in mind for the next visit.
