★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not use self checkout if an employee named Cecille is there. She assaulted me in front of my two kids because we were all wearing leather jackets and I had leaned over the cart to scan a big item. She rushed me grabbed me by the chest and shoved me away from my cart and two kids, claiming she “couldn’t see me scanning” then slaps her hand over her name tags when I went to ask her name but I saw it and went to customer service as she ran to her manager to save face. Walmart knows of the assault and has still allowed her to work there. She’s a short older lady and is hard to miss as she glared at everyone who goes to self checkout.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been trying to call the Calgary Walmart's for over a half hour with their customer service staff hanging up or not answering. I called the Medicine Hat Walmart and a very nice lady answered the phone within 1 ring!!! She was incredibly helpful, answered my question about returning a BBQ and was kind the entire time. I unfortunately forgot to ask her name but the call was 8:30pm May 27. Thank you VERY much for your excellent customer service. Please keep it up, the world needs more people like you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hate shopping in store. I would say 80% of staff don't know, or care, about the products, or where they are. The store has a dirty feel to it. I will never use self check out, unless they give me a 10% discount at the check out. The check out staff are not friendly(about 10% are). Packing your own groceries is horrible. If I have to pack my own, I won't shop there. I think Walmart is just trying to get rid of more and more staff to lower overhead and make more money for shareholders. Isn't it more important to give more people jobs so there is more money going around to buy more goods. The Walmart here started out with over 500 staff working and now they are down to below 300. Don't tell me that Walmart is good for people. I will never go in store again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a Walmart, some visits are good others not so much. Pretty much what you can expect from Walmart. Wouldn't shop the produce here, I find it spoils much quicker than that bought at a typical grocery store. Everything else is decent, prices good, staff hit or miss and stock typically good. Alright store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would be a four star if Walmart would revert to their original return policy. They are now not accepting returns on anything without a receipt.
Location is well laid out. Excellent selection for people commuting through on holiday, there is tons of recreational gear and travel friendly food.
Tentatively recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there and got some groceries, prices are good, selection is something to be desired, and customer service is a dice roll if you can find someone that works there to answer any questions to be able to answer those questions. Usually get told they don't work that department and scuttle off. Actually had a delivery driver let me know where something I was looking for might be. It wasn't there but the attempt was appreciated. So kudos to that driver anyhow. All in all basic global conglomerate retail experience, they care deeply about customers just before they get their money, but until that moment they have little to no interest in you as a customer for the most part, but your money, they like your money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am not a fan of shopping at Walmart but there are some things that I can either only get here or just the cheapest to get from Walmart. The biggest thing I wish Walmart would improve is the debit/credit machines and get ones that allow you to tap your cards. I find it crazy that such a large company that is so busy doesn't have machines that allow for tap especially during the pandemic, which would have been a great time to update them.
