At Save-On-Foods, going the extra mile is nothing new. Actually, we’ve gone above and beyond in all areas of our business since we started, way back in 1915. Originally, we were called Overwaitea Food Group because of the founder’s practice of selling 18 ounces of tea for the price of 16, and the name “overweight tea” stuck. Fast forward over 100 years and that name has changed, but we’re still known for delivering extra value to our customers. Today our company is best known for its most prominent banner—Save-On-Foods—but also includes PriceSmart Foods, Urban Fare and Bulkley Valley Wholesale.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had to run in an pick up a few quick items. As to be there standard, only 1 teller open with a long line. I finally decided to use self checkout which I adhore.
Scanned my 4 items, remove item replace item, hit ok, remove item ....looked at teller with the I am putting my fist through the screen look, she hit a button and the system started all over again. Less than 5 mins to grab items, 10 mins in clerk line till I went to self checkout. Another 10 m
In self checkout till I finally left everything an walked out.
If you like insanely brutal checkout procedure this store is for you. Never have I ever seen more than 1 clerk on till

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice looking store with unique items such as a wing bar. Good selection of produce and meat but a smaller than expected bakery. The quality of some products are better but the overall prices are higher. I don't think the average family would shop here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyed my shopping experience here. Colleen the cashier was so great and friendly. I’d gladly go back to this store again. I was so surprised at the selection of meat and seafoods!!
The only downfall is some citizens of MH and area don’t wear masks in the store and don’t care about the health and protection of others as we go into a 3rd wave. Shame on them...
Save On is great though... good for them for offering delivery and contactless pickup when citizens aren’t following public health guidelines.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always a great place to shop at. We visit the first Tuesday of every month for the 15% off! Usually end up making it our go to place to grocery shop the rest of the month too, even though it’s out of the way! Good prices. Just watch expiration dates, I’ve sadly bought a few too many things at full price that are already bad or expire within the next day or two :(
