Wag Awhile Doggie Daycare

I just showed up today for my appointment which I was told was for 3:15 by the woman on the phone. I showed up at 3:16 and had no answer but saw the previous customer leaving. When the groomer finally picked up the phone after calling 4 times she proceeded to tell me that I was late which I explained the woman who booked me told me that I was booked for 3pm but come at 3:15. Seeing as it's covid and there's no where to go why would I be late. The groomer proceeded to explain how on the hour booking works as if I didn't know how to tell the time. I explained to her that I understand how on the hour bookings work but that I am here now so would you take my puppy for his grooming and she told me I'm putting her in a tough spot because they close at 5 and they do on the hour bookings. She then repeated that they book at 9am then 10 then 11 and continued until 1pm when I interrupted her and told her I understand and I'm sorry there was a miscommunication but will you take my dog rather than yelling at me. She continued to explain that this was putting her behind schedule because they only do on the hour bookings. So I told her not to worry we will go elsewhere and that clearly they don't need any buisness. This is when she told me she will give me one last chance to get my puppy groomed. At this point the dog didn't even want to go near her and I told her I wasn't going to leave my 5 month old puppy in her care as she probably wouldn't do a good job seeing as they only do on the hour grooming and that she may not treat my puppy properly. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! Furthermore, if there was a miscommunication the grooming place didn't call me to see where I was if they were infact on time. When I saw the customer before me leaving it was 3:17pm so I don't see how she had the right to freak out at me the way she did.

Wag Awhile is truly my dogs home away from home. I could never bring myself to send him anywhere else other than to Kaylyn and her amazing staff. It's so evident to see how much Kaylyn cares about her business, and how much each and every dog means to her. You won't find very many business owners as passionate as she. She has tackled COVID-19 with nothing but safety and health in mind - not only just for she and her staff, but for you and your dog as well. He greets the staff at Wag Awhile with the same amount of love and excitement that he does when myself and my family get home. It's so heartwarming to know that he's nothing but cared for when spending his time at Wags. The groomer, Christina, also goes above and beyond when it comes to her work. It's common for dogs to be … not so fond of going to the groomers, but my boy literally and physically THROWS himself at Christina when he sees her. She doesn't just take your dog, give it a haircut, and give it back to you. She takes your dog, bonds with it, gets to know it like she knows her own, and sends them home happy as well as stylish! Overall, I would recommend Wag Awhile to anyone TRULY looking to feel safe and confident when sending their dog(s) away from home. Go Team Wags!

They don't accept non-neutered dogs, which was not stated anywhere on the website or told to me through the phone. Application was going fine until some clown over the phone acted condescending over me not wanting to neuter my dog.

As an ex employee, I enjoyed working amongst a great staff, lead by Ms. Kaylyn Bondar. She is a dedicated professional who loves dogs and people alike. I remember the great activities the puppies enjoyed, watermelon treats and fun Birthday parties. As myself, the staff is chosen based on knowledge and experience working with dogs, observing behaviour and health, to ensure safety and fun interaction for your furry family members.

I have a mini dachshund with a couch jumping problem - or had, I used to have that problem. After one session of Janine showing me how to use a couch deterrent tool; and showing my dog that touching the deterrent will cause a loud noise - I no longer have a problem. I left cooked liver and meat on the couch, came home four hours later and no one had been on the couch! Coming home to various destroyed paper products is now an unpleasant memory of the past. Janine was creative, patient and sneaky - as a result, I have less stress and a dog with a healthier back. Gratefully yours, Andrea Manning

Excellent grooming service. Cass has groomed my elderly shepherd as well as my lab. Very calming and comfortable. Excellent with special needs and nervous dogs. Time is taken with each animal to keep them calm. I'd highly recommend to anyone.

Cass is the best groomer you'll come across. She's gentle, patient, and very attentive to your dogs needs. As a customer and an old coworker I can definitely assure you that she's everything you'd want in a groomer. Dogs and cats she's the best!! All of my animals love her and so do I! I will 100% take all of my business to her any chance I get!!

I have been taking my dog here since she was a puppy. She absolutely loves it at Wags, and you can tell by the wag she gives when we pull up to the door. She just knows her humans are in there with all her furiends. The staff are friendly and treat her like she's theirs. Awesome grooming available as well. I had boarded my dog as well and she was a well cared for pup. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for doggy day care, grooming or boarding. Oh, and they have doggy products for sale. You won't regret going here, and your pup will love it.
