Multiple people in my family were all diagnosed with having 8 cavities per person. I repaired 2 of those 8 with him as you could only imagine the cost to do 8 in one visit. I later moved back to my original family dentist in another city. I told him I still has 6 that needed to be filled. When the request was placed for Dr. Viznyak to send over my x-rays, they sent a file of x-rays for a person who was missing 4 front teeth. These were not mine. Follow up attempts to secure the proper x-rays yielded no results. I had to undergo additional x-rays by my family dentist. When he viewed the x-rays, his professional opinion was that I had zero cavities. I do not recommend going to see this dentist after my families past experience.

My 19-year-old son had his two bottom impacted wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Viznyak - and he did an absolute expert job on it. He was in no rush, waited patiently for the anesthetic to take effect, and constantly checked on my son's comfort level during the process. The entire procedure took about 40 minutes - and my son came through without any issues. Dr. Viznyak was very clear on what he was about to do (before the procedure) and filled in any missing details after the procedure. He was very personable, patient, and answered all of our questions clearly. He was also very clear and detailed on the post-op procedures and medications. When we were ready to leave, my son was still a little woozy, so Dr. Viznyak helped him from the chair to our van - down a set of stairs - and ensured that he was OK over the entire way. To top it off, Dr. Viznyak let us know that he would call us around 9:00 that night just to see if everything was going OK. He did call, and everything was going just fine. (The rest of the staff is top-notch as well - we've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for any appointments that we've had; the only other reasons we've gone is for semi-annual cleanings. The secretaries and dental hygienists working for Dr. Viznyak are very friendly, organized, and talented.)

Had a chipped/crooked tooth and asked him to fix the chip. He was able to fix both and make me love my smile again. So pleased!

I am a former patient who saw Viznyak up until I was 18. I always suspected it was a little too convenient that, as a child, all of my adult molars that were just beginning to grow in were "too pitted" and must be filled to prevent cavities, and how "between every tooth in my mouth, there was a cavity" after my braces were removed. None of this was true, I have had several dentists over the last 6-7 years and not one cavity. I expressed concern to my dentists about the alleged cavities and needless to say they were surprised, confused and denied any problems with my teeth. Now, I'm in my early/mid 20s and getting a crown on a molar that had been given an overkill filling job, to a point where losing the tooth entirely was on the table. Part of my filling came out which accounted for nearly 1/3rd of my entire tooth. I had to get emergency treatment and crown lengthening surgery (now pending crown) in just over 24 hours... big $$$ to suddenly come up with. I was a pre-teen when this filling was done at Viznyak's practice and I know for certain I didn't go in because I was complaining of pain, this issue was something he brought up to my parents in a routine exam. Like most fillings I received there, it felt very opportunistic. Yes, I realize fillings aren't meant to last a lifetime and do need to be replaced. In my case, it doesn't matter because any way you cut it this tooth was going to need a crown, we're beyond the point of saving it. Until this emergency occurred and the dentist explained the severity, I was clueless as to how badly this tooth was handled and how doomed I was from the start. Ideally I'd like to think things have changed since then but its hard to say, anyone I know who was a patient here has since gone elsewhere. That being said, the rest of the reception/dental assistants were very pleasant and friendly people - no complaints. If something just isn't adding up, always get a second opinion.
