They go out of their way to special order things for you with no hassle at all. This year they saved me big bucks by ordering things for me I normally have to journey to Toronto (by bus) to gather.

This is a lifesaver particularly for the professional artist. The shopkeeper, Scott, is very warm and pleasant, and very quick off the mark if you raise an issue or process that he may not have the right product for in stock. He'll enthusiastically hunt down what you asked after, happily leafing through long and minimally descriptive catalogs. I have described the shop as "densely packed." I must clarify this: the whole shop is devoted to supplies for work in pretty much every medium, and so for any artist ~ especially the experimenting student ~ entering Victory Art Supply is like entering Diagon Alley, Smaug's hoard of treasure; it even makes me think of Carter's discovery of King Tut's tomb. Treasure abounds on Scott's well-stocked shelves and you just...become...entranced. The pricing is absolutely on the money: art supplies are notoriously expensive ~ something any group of artists can agree upon over a few beers ~ but at Victory one is more often than not pleasantly surprised. I have been happy with every purchase and every visit I have made to this superior shop. May Victory Art Supply prosper and continue to serve the artists in our community for a very, very long time. I enthusiastically urge every person reading this review to pay a visit to Victory Art Supply. I can pretty much promise you'll be very glad you did. Thank you, Scott. We know it ain't easy!

The proprietor is pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful if you need any assistance or advice, but won't interfere if you know what you want or just want to browse. It's a small shop but carefully curated.

I actually live in Windsor, but I wait till I have the chance to come to Peterborough to stock up on art supplies (unless it's urgent) because for me, Victory is the very best. Everything is neatly organized, despite the shop's diminutive size, and the layout makes sense upon entry. Introverts, rejoice; you will not be expected to make small talk; however, if you need anything, the shop keeper is always helpful and friendly. Highly recommended for anyone interested in fine arts :)

It's very geared towards the fine art and print making side of things but provide a wide array of great tools for artists of any level. Sketchbooks, pens, watercolour, acrylic, brushes, paper of all kinds - I am personally primarily a digital illustrator but I dabble in pencil + ink and watercolour. I aim not to shop anywhere but this little place, finding their prices reasonable and the environment always a treat to visit. Shop local, support small business always!
