Dr. Lee walked me through everything from the consultation right through to the operating table at Victoria Surgery; answering all my questions with confidence. A very knowledgeable and kind man. R	Robbins Harris on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Almost excellent ascending and aortic arch stent graft and anterior arterial bypass open chest surgery June 2019. The particular surgical procedure is a frozen elephant trunk procedure. He did this to provide an excellent landing zone for endovascular repair of the thorocoabdominal anyeurisms (4.7-5.1) that remain. Discharge 6 days post surgery. Complications from left recurrent laryngeal nerve disection were ineffective swallow (leading to (aspiration and weight loss) and inability to make effective speech (especially via phone) that worsened over time, then required surgical treatment by EENT surgeon 3 months later, a minor endoleak and minor (no deficits) TIA, 16 days post surgery. But ALAS he has left to practice elsewhere (out of country) and there is no longer an option to have the STENT GRAFT procedure done on Vancouver Island. He had prepared me both physically and mentally for the NEXT STEP which was the EVAR, with a very low risk of on the table open surgery again. But now he is gone, and I no longer have any option to have either done on Vancouver Island. I am saddened that we have lost an almost excellent surgeon, who offered us his expertise on our home ground. Robbins
Y	Yvonne Sundby on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Lee is very knowledgeable and kind. The first time I had my veins done by him, I had an ulcer on my leg as well. He was very gentle making sure I was in no pain other than the tiny prick of the freezing needle. He is a careful and considerate surgeon, he even let me watch on his laptop, which might not be for everyone, but I was really interested and he explained what he was doing as he was doing it. Next week, I'm off to have a few other veins removed. I would strongly recommend Dr. Shung Lee for Ablation surgery.
P	Phil Nealy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr Lee, performed a Femorial-popliteal on my right leg Dec 11, 2020 and the results were swift. I am a C6 quadriplegic and have ulcers on both ankles, the right leg which he operated on is near healed and ulcer appears to be within days of being completely healed. Was it painful yes was it worth the pain yes. I am on a wait list to have the left leg done and hope for similar results. Since breaking my neck in 1988 I have had several surgeries and can honestly state Dr Lee is one of the most skilled surgeons I have ever encountered. It is difficult to put into words the gratitude I have for him
