Oh my gosh, coolest place ever. So many exotic animals to see and the butterflies come right up to you if you stay still!!!! Super cool to see all the ant/insect inclosures as well. Highlight of my trip was when the parrot said β€œhello” to me.

Interesting place with a unique collection of butterflies, insects and a few birds. It takes about 2hrs or less. It is on the island of Victoria close to the Butchart gardens. It is better to see the two places on different days. It is a small place and has a nice forest setting. In addition to butterflies, there are parrots, flamingos, turtles etc. Many opportunities to take pictures. There's a separate hall with a collection of interesting insects with lots of details. It can be educational for those into insects and for students.

Very good value. We went on a whim, not expecting much. Make sure you show you're CAA card if you have it, you save about $4 per ticket on entry. The bug portion gave me itchy feelings but I couldn't help looking at all of them in great detail. Their leaf cutter ant display is particularly interesting. And the density of butterflies, parrots, turtles, koi, etc inside was great! Always something new to see

A magical oasis with butterflies everywhere, koi fish, parrots and other tropical birds. Informative and fun! We loved the bugs displays with huge horned beetles and leaf and stick bugs - nature is amazing!

Great place to spend a couple of hours with kids. All exhibitions are indoors (good in case of rain). You can see ants, spiders, flamingo, butterflies and other insects

Had a great time there. Lots of species of butterflies and other insects. You can also see some rare and only species of wild insects. Overall wonderful place to visit with kids and family members.

This place was fascinating, the garden centre Inside was very warm and humid. There were lots of butterflies and many species of birds flying about. Tortoises, a flamingo, iguana, caterpillars, lizards and koi fish are all part of the garden. It's very exciting to see all the different animals and insects inside. The butterflies are so beautiful, and fly around people and may land on you! The birds are really cool to look at and they fly overhead and near people, you may leave with bird feces. This is definitely a great place to pop by when you're in Victoria.

I've visited the Butterfly garden a few times with my family and friends. The butterflies are so friendly we've had some land on us at each visit! Each visit is as good as the last. I love all the animals in the garden and the display for the phases of the butterfly. As you walk in the garden there are a bunch of tanks with ants, spiders, wood bug, tarantulas, scorpions and so much more to learn about! It's a good warning for anyone entering that the room is very very humid which is understandable. It did take a few of the people I took by surprise though lol!
