We have been to the gardens both during the summer and now at Christmas. It truly is amazing during the summer, but absolutely magical at Christmas time. I spent most of my time trying to remember that annoying 12 days of Christmas song, and as people walked around you could hear that they too we’re trying to remember it as well :) Kudos to all the staff who worked so hard to make this place come alive at night. I have been here when I was a kid and it’s so neat to see how the advancements in light technology has created an even more amazing light show today. I would definitely come here again!

One of the most beautiful places on Earth! I love going here any time of year and usually invest in a yearly pass. Mother’s Day is the best time to see all the spring colours. Gift shop is outstanding, and there is great food at the casual restaurant or go for the elegant high tea.

Beautiful breathtaking place. If you ever visit Victoria Canada this is a must. Words cannot describe the views and the large variety of flowers you will see when you see it. My wife was sooo happy to be there, I can only describe it like a kid in Disneyland. Definitely a bucket list must.

Beautiful garden! Even if you're not a fan of plants/flowers this is a great way to spend a part of your day in Victoria. The grounds are very well maintained and are absolutely stunning. One of the best things to do while in Victoria.

After the hustle and bustle of downtown Victoria, these gardens were a welcome and relaxing getaway. Entry and parking were well organized; it was simple to enter and since arrived quite early in the day, there were few cars or other people to contend with. The grounds and gardens are just beautiful. I was worried that since we went in March that nothing would be blooming, but there were so many lovely flowers and blossoming trees to enjoy! The Sunken Garden was particularly stunning; seeing if for the first time from the top of the staircase was a delightful experience. I wish I could do it for the first time all over again! Our second favorite was the Japanese Garden. This garden is so exquisitely cultivated to look wild, but is quite structured. Very elegant and very soothing to sit and enjoy the peaceful tranquility. I appreciated that our brochure had a map and route layed out for easy viewing, as well as information on each of the different gardens. It gave our experience direction and context. I would love to return again and enjoy each garden in all the different seasons. If possible, I do recommend going to Afternoon Tea at The Dining Room. This added a great relaxing moment to our already lazy day in the garden. It was a low key and simple tea service in a great historical setting. We enjoyed every moment!

It’s worth making a journey to Victoria solely to see these gardens! Truly special in so many ways. We also had high tea and found it beyond delightful and and excellent value for money. If you are pressed for time make the Sunken Garden your number one priority. It’s breathtaking!

Absolutely loved our visit to Butchart Gardens! A dog friendly outing that many people took advantage of with running water into dog bowls throughout the gardens! Even though we were a bit early in the season for the rose gardens there were so many spring flowers and flowering trees that we were able to enjoy at this time of the year it was totally worth it. I wish we had booked seats in the Tea Room as it looked lovely but we were there on the Mother's Day weekend and a lot of people had the same idea. ?

Beautiful gardens and a great place to visit. The entrance and parking experience was the most organized I've ever experienced. BC Ferries could learn a lot here.
