β β β β β I've had my viberg boots for 5 years now and they are by far the best boots I have ever owned! Ive used and tried alot of the high end boot brands over the years (Redwing, Lowa, Hanwag, Canada West, Danner) and Viberg is now at the top of my list. Im in my 151X Contractors minimum 10hrs a day working for a Railroad Construction Contractor and they handle all the abuse I give them. Im walking in track ballast, creosote ties, scrap steal, mud, dirt, grease and dust.
Yes they are expensive! Get over the sticker price shock and think about the investment your making for the long term. Ive put 10,000+ hrs over the past five years at work alone in these bad boys. At $600 for the boots plus $50 for Vibergs boot maintenance products that averages out to $130 per year! Now add a resole for $150 like I did you just increased the life by another 2-3 years before needing a complete rebuild.
The last thing Ill say is if you've never owned a pair of boots like these learn how to take care of them (lots of how to videos on YouTube). Its not hard, it doesnt take alot of time and thats what really allows these boots to last so long under punishing conditions!

β β β β β Great boots that will last a lifetime. They form fit to your feet as you wear them but the break in time can be lengthy. Itβs worth it to me because once broken in, there is no better feel for such durable and good looking footwear.

β β β β β If you want a pair of boots that will last forever then these are it.......because they will sit in the back of your closet until the end of time.
Bought a pair of caulked work boots a few years ago due to the reputation Viberg has had in the past. I was sized correctly and was excited for the boots but the leather was too stiff, and the sole uncomfortable. I literally could not walk after a week in the Bush with these things. Tried to get ahold of customer service multiple times to no avail.
Go buy yourself a pair of Hoffmans. Best boot I've ever owned.

β β β β β Original review is below... After wearing my Smokejumpers for over a year I had quality issues, Viberg did do some very minor repairs but they did not fix the problem. The employees chose to argue and disagree instead of trying to help. They do not back their product.

Excellent boots. Customer service and store experience are sub par.
Very limited stock of boots and lack of information on boots makes finding the right pair difficult. Although it is worth the hassle.

β β β β β Sales person was good.
I went in to get boots made. Guy from the back came out and said all they had was standard stock and they weren't making specialty sizes. Didn't know when they were going to make specialty sizes. Didn't have phone list to let me know. Didn't seem to care. Apparently they don't know or care why people go to them. Really disappointed.

β β β β β Ordered Stompers, within 2 weeks stitching was failing all over the place on both boots. Customer service was good and sent a replacement pair, upon inspection found poor quality stitching all over those boots as well, no way they're going to hold up in a real construction environment so they're returned as well for refund. It's too bad, leather material is heavy and the boots seem otherwise good but definitely not durable. Manufacturer date was 4 years before purchase, I'm not sure what to make of that aside from them being unable to sell these boots. Also, very uncool, they deleted my negative review from their website.

β β β β β Ordered a pair of service boots online and their standard procedure is to ship the boots to your address from their warehouse. Within a few business days I received an email stating that I could just pick them up at the office since I lived nearby. I went to pick them up this morning and was welcomed into their private office to try on the boots and walk around in them, the person who let me in even hung out with me for a bit to help me lace them and chat about them. This may seem like the norm for buying footwear but it was a pleasant surprise considering that my initial expectation was to receive them in the mail and then try them on at home, hoping they actually fit. The boots themselves are the most visually stunning and comfortable footwear I have ever tried on.
I will also be buying some workboots from their store on Boleskine which are, once again, the most comfortable and visually pleasing work boots I have ever tried on.
I would rather spend 600 dollars on high quality work boots that can be rebuilt and will last for 15 years than 150 on boots that will be less comfortable and need to be replaced every 2 years.
I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Viberg.

β β β β β Wore these boots every fire season for 5 years. Best boots I've ever owned and I wouldn't wear anything else. I just send them in for a resole and new eyelets. Customer service is unmatched and the workmanship is of highest quality. Thank you viberg for having my back.
