Colonial Countertops (Laminate) - Victoria

Colonial did a quartz kitchen countertop install through another company that installed the cabinets. They were always very communicative on timelines and dates which was very helpful when doing a reno. From the person doing the template to the installers, the service was excellent. The installers (Clayton and Ashton) were on time, asked me my preference for the tap, checked that everything fit, installed the sink and made sure I was happy with everything before leaving. Would be happy to use Colonial Countertops again.

On a previous house we had Colonial Countertops do our kitchen and we were very pleased with the service. Now in another house, we were replacing the countertops with quartz and approached Colonial to do the job based on our previous experience with the company. The salesman was pleasant and helpful and we set up the order. It was a busy time because of the pandemic and we knew there would be a significant wait before the job could be done. When the time finally rolled around the person who came to do the measurements for the template was efficient and did a good job of templating the wall-mounted countertops and an oversize island with an irregular shape. After another wait we were called with a date for the installation. Then we were called to change the date and when that date rolled around nobody showed up during the morning that had been specified. We called the office to see what had happened and they said the date had been changed... but no-one had thought to advise the clients of the change. Another date was set and when the installers arrived they indicated that they could do the wall-mount countertops but the countertop for the island was not ready and they did not know when it would be. Calling the office again, a different person answered and said she did not know what the problem was but would get right back to us. She didn't. Another call and another person who said she would look into it and get right back to us... she didn't. Finally, on a third (and somewhat aggravated) call to the office, yet another person said she would look into what the problem was and advised us that apparently they did not have a jumbo quartz sheet in stock for the island fabrication. This is strange because the salesman checked the computer inventory when we placed the order and jumbo-size stock was available. After another wait and changing the appointment for the plumber to do the reconnections for the 5th time, the island countertop finally was installed. By the way, the installers (Ashton and Samson) were pleasant, professional, tidy and very competent in carefully removing the old countertops and installing the new ones. Thank you for that! So Colonial Countertops appears to be in some sort of organizational turmoil where the scheduling staff are not very efficient and do not communicate effectively with clients and with other staff. For example, the accounting person sent us a bill for the full amount when the job was only partially done. In calling her about this, she said she thought the job had been completed as nobody had told her differently. We noticed a remarkably similar review to this one where part of the problem appeared to be the small size of the job to be done. Well, that certainly wasn't the case in this instance. However, the salesman did a good job as did the template designer. The tops were well fabricated and the installation was very well done. The issues for us were primarily with planning, scheduling and communication. Would we recommend Colonial Countertops to our friends? Unfortunately, only with grave reservations.

Colonial Countertops were amazing to deal with. From the service in the showroom where I was able to pick out my countertops, to the people who came and measured and installed, it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Just about finished a kitchen reno ...we ordered caesarstone statuarious maximus. Colonial staff through the whole process have been amazing ! They were ready when they said ..the quartz was beautifully cut and perfectly emphasizes the design! Love everything ...so awesome ...two installers came today and they were so professional,answered all our questions, didn't mind me coming in and checkin ! Lol! They did a beautiful job! Thanks guys! Love, love, love it!

From start to finish the service we received at Colonial, Victoria was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Started with Les who came to measure…..twice. Nancy Head was invaluable in helping us choose our countertops and she knows everything about countertops. She was patient even though we went to the showroom 3 times. Greg then came to install the countertops and he had a challenging job removing the old tile countertops but was professional and did an excellent job. Highly recommend Colonial Countertops, Victoria.

We were excited for our kitchen counter installation day! The team took a while to arrive but once they did they were professional and efficient. They rolled out a floor protector and brought in the counters, getting them installed very quickly and answering any questions we had in a friendly manner. Overall it was a great experience to work with them.

Clayton and his homies did a fantastic job installing my kitchen countertop. They were incredibly polite, efficient, and professional. Clayton even put in the effort to correct an oversight in accounting for the depth of the range - a keen eye, indeed. It looks beautiful, the cut is seamless, and I was genuinely happy with their service.
