Lived at vibe for two and a half years and by the time we left I feel a one star review is appropriate. -Management (Mike) is completely disorganized and scatterbrained. Triple booking elevators for the same time slot, forgetting important appointments or dates, ceiling fan went unrepaired for over a year despite several emails and maintenance requests. -While living at Vibe there was constantly drug dealers or problematic tenants that cycled throughout the building (needles found in stairwells and planters, people passed out in the vestibule, several tenants allowing strangers/homeless into the building through their patio doors, breaking and entering units or parkade) the police were always paying a visit. -Vibe claims they’re pet friendly but signs have recently been erected on all the grass saying pets are prohibited on the grass despite all pet owners paying a pet fee you’d imagine would go towards maintaining the property. There was never any communication between management to tenants, just miscellaneous signs thrown up in the elevators. No emails or posts in the tenant portal. -Units are small for the price and constantly dusty/dirty from the parking lot or road below. Sounds can definitely be heard through the walls especially tenants music/tv and people using the bathroom. We had better experiences renting apartments in Oliver. We moved to Vibe because they were β€œpet friendly” unfortunately with their new policies we no longer saw the value and the hassle of management and feeling unsafe here it was just no longer worth it so we moved.

We lived in Vibe Lofts in 2018, and broke our lease early to move to British Columbia. At the time, we were told we'd lose our damage deposit, which was fine. Now, over 2 years later, we have been contacted about a "cancellation fee" to the tune of over 3000 dollars for our remaining lease. We were never, ever told about this upon moving out. Why wait over 2 years to contact us you may ask? Because the limitation period for us contesting this claim in tenancy court is 2 years. How interesting and convenient for them. They've threatened to send us to collections over this, which would be devastating to our credit. If this was a fee to be paid on cancelling our lease, we were never told that. The only claim was regarding our damage deposit (one months rent) which we gladly paid. This is, frankly, predatory and really sketchy behaviour designed to take advantage of people by painting them into a corner under the threat of debt collection agencies. Anyone renting from this company should keep this in mind.

I moved into Vibe Lofts September 2018. I have nothing but good things to say! I did a ton of research on new buildings for rent downtown and this one checked all the boxes. The suites are larger, new, and gorgeous! When you enter the building or exit the elevator there is a ton of space and the hallways are wide. It feels so spacious and not like an apartment building. It is SO quiet because it is concrete. I have never heard my neighbours. This building is gorgeous, a great location, and the amenities are next level. The staff here are awesome and super helpful!!! I know the building came under new ownership with Killiam Apartment REIT before I moved in so I think there have been a lot of improvements since then. I know they have made a lot of changes for the better! I am hoping to stay here for a while I highly recommend it!

I have lived here since Feb 2019 and it has been wonderful! Management is very professional and helpful. I had help installing a door sweep which was great. The place is kept extremely clean since they clean it religiously. Overall the staff are great. The building itself is awesome. My loft and the interior of the building are very inviting and make me feel good coming home. This building is made completely out of concrete so turn up the music! The loft directly above mine has two dogs in it an honestly, the noise really isn't that bad. I can't imagine living below two dogs if there wasn't concrete between us! There have been some other reviews that are not as positive, but I don't know where they are coming from. Most of those reviews are in reference to previous property managers which I had no experience with or to things that management doesn't have control over anyways. All things considered, the location along with the great service and quality loft is fantastic for the price I am paying!

The first year living here was great, despite management being a bit standoffish. The resident managers were awesome in the past, though now I couldn't tell you who they are. I do absolutely love the style of the building and the suites even though they are really small. We pay a lot of money for a tiny apartment and I was okay with that because the concrete structure and amenities made up for it. One such amenity was safe and secure parking and storage spaces. I can 100% guarantee that they are neither safe nor secure. In 18 months of living here, our car and storage unit have been broken in to. There are pry marks on all the entrances and the parcel boxes have been rendered useless due to tampering (though management was able to procure a more secure set up with the help of Canada Post, so that was nice. Again though, that was through the old resident manager). We are constantly promised new security measures while parkade doors stand broken open for the majority of our time here. We understand and appreciate that increased security costs money but we are frustrated and losing our own money and sense of security. We put our trust in management to keep our property safe and so far they have been sorely lacking in that department.

The better place to live as a student, super easy moving, and management is quick and straight forward! No more being stuck in tiny student housing, where it’s hot and loud, instead a quiet environment with heating/cooling options.

Probably the worst place I've ever lived specifically due to how poorly managed it is. You get them doing an "annual fire inspection" 5 times a year, most of which are brought to you attention with LESS than 24 hours notice. during many of this inspections, during the peak of Covid, they were not wearing masks. As well as they clearly cant keep records of your information as they are continuously sliding notes under your door requesting you input the information about who lives in the unit, contact information, your parking spot number, all things that ARE ON THE LEASE I SIGNED!!! On top of their poor management skills, the place is always dirty in the common areas. There has been trash in the stair wells for weeks. Its never vacuumed, your lucky if you floor gets vacuumed once a month. Also good luck getting an elevator. It has been made clear, that the building manager uses it as her own personal elevator. She would park it on her floor over night, lock it. And then it would be there for her in the morning. And if she was leaving the building. It would be parked in the same level as her car is parked So she can keep it parked for as long as she wants, but if youre actually moving in or out, you may only lock it for two hours. The suite was nice, if you can ignore how poor a job the builders have done. The whole apartment was cheaply built. The walls arent actually entirely painted. They are just the colour of dry wall. So if you ever get water on a part that isnt painted. Your wall will just disintegrate. I recommend not moving in here and finding some where better to live.

Worst place to live, small rooms with no closet space in some like where do I put my clothes? Also walls are β€œcement” you can still hear everything from people talking to dogs barking. Small living area for 2 people for the amount you pay for it’s ridiculous. With covid your paying for amenities yet they aren’t even open to people who stay here. Management is also very brutal they only email you when they want something from you but when you email them you get nothing back in return to help or if you have a question nothing. Highly do not recommend this place to anyone at all. Save your $ and time and go find a wayyyyyy better place the only positive thing I have to say about this place is that it’s close to downtown, yet there is plenty of other bigger, and 1000000x better places then β€œVibe Lofts” save your time don’t even bother with this place.
