About Via Cibo

The Italian Piadina is a staple of Italian Street Food in Italy, a flatbread originating from the Emilia-Romagna region (namely Forli-Cesena, Ravenna and Rimini). For centuries it has been made from simple, fresh, wholesome ingredients. The dough consists of 100% artisan durum wheat flour, cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil, Mediterranean Sea salt and spring water. The soft dough is gently kneaded and carefully baked to perfection right in front of you then generously filled with fresh, local, authentic Italian ingredients..

The Via Cibo Piadina is handmade right in front of you and then made to order by adding our selection of wholesome ingredients. The choices include an abundant range of freshly grilled chicken, grilled meats, Italian sausage, or roasted vegetables.

The result is an authentic Italian taste experience that is unique and undeniably delicious.

Waited over an hour for a lasagna that tasted like chef boyardee. I wish I went to McDonald's or pretty much anywhere else instead

Great service and beautiful infrastructure. Although the pizza was very simple with 3 or 4 ingredients, the smoky flavor that tje oven gave it was really good. The menu is not large but enough. Yoy can also have desserts in here

My most recent visit here was one of many disappointing ones. To start, there is an advertisement on the exterior of the resuraunt that features a $14 lunch special. The special consists of the main dish, a drink and a desert. When I entered, it was apparent that the advertisement was old, as I was told the price was now $16 for the lunch special. I understand that prices change over time, but it would be nice to have updated advertisements, so customers aren't dissapointed when they find out that the real price is $2 more than the advertisement. After ordering, my disappointing experience was only going to get worse. When the food finally arrived, we noticed that my Alfredo sauce looked much darker than my brother's (we ordered the exact same dish). Have a look at the photo I took comparing the two, attached to this review. Not only did the sauce look different, but it also tasted burnt. Despite this, I was still able to eat most of my dish, but the experience wasn't over yet. Also, outside the restaurant is a sign claiming that if you spend $40 or more, you get free breadsticks. Our food cost over $50, but we didn't receive the breadsticks right away. I had to go up to the counter after we finished eating and ask for them. Considering I had to ask them to basically follow through with their advertised promotion makes me wonder how many people have been cheated out of this offer before me. Needless to say, I do not think I will be coming back to this location anytime soon, as it is not the first time I have been dissapointed with their the food or service. If you enjoy food from this chain, I would recommend driving the extra distance to their Deerfoot Meadows location, as they seem to be much more consistent when it comes to both the quality and taste of the food.

Great food, service and ambience. Their house salad is basically a spinach salad. Certainly not my fave the gelato is really good as well.

Here’s my honest review about my experience at Via Cibo I started off with the Garlic Cheese Toast. It came out moist, pulled apart so easily and the flavours of garlic and cheese was so on point. For the main dish, I had the carbonara with a side of chicken, served with bread. The pasta was undercooked, the chicken was under-seasoned, cracked black pepper and a sprinkle of salt would have helped me out here, and finally the bread was dry and tasted stale. Overall, I know I won’t be spending my money here in the near future.
