I love the Vedder River ! Fishing season is great, location is great, spots are good, beach access is somewhat tricky but doable. The staff is a little rigid, grumpy, strict, unfriendly. None the less - it’s a really good spot.

This place is so run down . Very little if any maintenance done on facilities. Dirty campsites, squeezed in together, and very small. I would not return to this campsite. Did not feel comfortable here at all.

No hot water! Shower broken! It is supposed to be a happy camp night, the stuff stopped all of us at the gate and don’t allow us in! They entered our campground to count the number of people, they even entered our RV, ridiculous!! They invaded our Privacy! They did not inform us that the gate closes at 10pm, (not in the email nor the phone), we arrived around 11pm and we slept in front of the gate. The attitude of stuff was ridiculously bad, we booked an extra site just for parking (we only need 1site, but we decided to book an extra one for parking). Over the phone, the stuff said 10 people are allowed at the group campsite, but when we arrived, they told us only 4 are allowed, and they charged us EXTRA FEES $10/person, $15/vehicle. We paid extra for our daily stay.

Staff are huge jerks. Be prepared to pay extra for dogs, and or people. The staff make up rules as you go. Decent sites (depending on where you are as some are right on top of each other). Nice bike trails. But that’s about it…

Lower Your Expectations! Just not worth the money! Be prepared that not everything you think you are getting you will get. I was not happy with the experience from the start. When I pulled with a 42.4 foot fifth wheel there were about 5 VERY large pot holes at the the entrance, trust me, I felt them! and when I told the person at the front desk she said it is on the other side of the properly line which they don't own so not their responsibility. Their own roads going to the sites are no better! I hope you have great eye site because you won't be able to read the site numbers on the B sites pulling in. I came in October so it was not busy. I got probably the worst site. It wasn't raining at the time but when it there was mud everywhere and little water lakes everywhere. They said they have Internet but when I hooked it up it didn't work. I called the after hours number b/c the office was closed and he said I needed to read the sign at the front desk that said "Internet is Intermittent" when I asked the front desk and when I called they said they had Internet. They did not tell me it didn't work. They seem to have an answer for everything. And the best is that if you have pets be prepared to pay $5 per pet per day. I have 2 dogs so that is a 25% increase is the daily rate. When I asked why? They said the city charges for it so they have to. I asked how does the city knows and what do my dogs get for that charge? no answer! lol If I knew this is what I would be getting then I wouldn't really have an issue, however, their website paints a different picture. It is close to downtown and Cultas Lake. That was a good point.

Nice family campground although some spots are very close together. We prefer the alcove spots for more privacy. Good shower/washroom facilities. Plenty of trails to explore. Large group camping area available.

Nestled in Chiilwack, this scenic treasure is a great place. There is a walking / cycling trail, camping ground with benches. You can also go horse riding on part of the trail. You find many varieties of birds like Canada Goose and other smaller ones. People were found fishing in the gushing river. Truly beautiful to walk and hear the sounds of wind and water. Went for a short visit. Definitely going to visit again. About 11 km from Chilliwack town

Great campsite and friendly staff and people that go there. Family campers that are drink and 420 friendly. Would have gave 5 stars but site are close together. We managed to book with our friends at same time and had our trailers facing opposite directions so we had a nice larger private area to hang out.
