Just started using Vancouver Ready Mix on a large scale residential flatwork project on 256th. My experience this far has been pleasant, trucks on time as per scheduled, mud was as per requested as far as design is concerned . The only downside I feel would be the infamous oxidation tinge that is currently causing Lehigh problems atm

We have worked with Vancouver Ready Mix since shortly after they opened. They have consistently delivered quality concrete on all of our projects, from coloured concrete to walls. Even on the rare occasion when incidents occurred that impacted our pours they have stood behind their product, offering to help in any way possible. In a large construction industry Vancouver Ready Mix stands out with their service, quality and reliability.

Hire them at your own peril. I have 2 big ugly cold joints in my driveway thanks to 2 of their trucks breaking down. One delay was almost an hour, second delay was 1.5 hours! There wasn't much my finisher could do. VRM wouldn't even give me a discount. I have heard lots of horror stories about these guys but I never had a problem before this job. They have old trucks and all their drivers are getting crumby wages. You get what you pay for, consider yourself warned.

Not a good experience with this company. To start with we were given a price which was more than the other company’s, but because the other company couldn’t give us a exact time we went with Vancouver Ready Mix. The day before the concrete came we got a call saying the amount of $1,734.00 was the balance and were asked for our credit card number to settle the bill before delivery and they said they would email an invoice. In the morning when the concrete came the truck driver was parked on the road and asked to have the paperwork signed to clear him of liability to back onto the driveway, I never thought anything about it (not wearing my reading glasses) and signed. After the concrete was all done and the excitement was over I looked at the paper that I had signed and it was a invoice for $2,166.08. I called the office and told them I was told $1,734.00 and the invoice says something different. They said that they record all of there calls and would listen to the call and that they would email the recording to me. It’s been over a month now and a few more reminder calls from me about it but still nothing and still not an emailed invoice. I see now the charge on the card is $1,911.28 I don’t know how they came up with that amount and phoning them again will most likely be a waste of more of my time. I just feel that they have stolen money on my credit card. So if you are dealing with them make sure you see the invoice before giving your card number and no matter how panicked it seems in getting the truck backed onto your yard, go get your glasses and read what they want you to sign, don’t assume its what you have been told, because a verbal amount doesn’t mean anything to them.
