Not the prettiest winery but the wines are wonderful. I picked up a few of the reds and let them cellar for a year and they were so smooth. Very simple setup. Walk in tasting room (shed), no seating or food which I don’t think is necessary. Highly recommend stopping by.

We missed this one on our tour so stopped in before we headed back to Lake Country. We were greeted by Tom-An absolute legend. He made our wine tasting experience so enjoyable and we appreciated his educational flare on the history of Van western and all of his tasting notes. He capped our Naramata tour off on a great note and we are sure to return our next time in. Beautiful wines with a wide variety of wines for all wine lovers! Thank you so much Tom!!

A wonderful experience for my group! We had a group of 9, so due to COVID they had to split us up but made sure our tours were at the same time. The winemaker there was called in and postponed his day of boating with his family to help in the wine room! We had friendly and informative service, we didn't feel rushed along even though they got very busy, and it was really easy for us to book tasting appointments online. I enjoyed each wine I tried, they are of superior quality. Can't wait to come back!

Such an amazing place. The host who does the wine tasting is funny, knowledgeable and so warm and welcoming. The owner was there working right along side with his employee loading the crusher with Reisling grapes ?. An incredible experience and one place everyone should visit!!

Had an excellent wine tasting at Van Westen. Laid back and unpretentious atmosphere was a nice change. The tasting included good conversation and explanations of each of the wines, how the grapes are grown, harvested and processed. Bought 2 bottles of their V wine. Highly recommend.

We were referred to this winery by the winemaker at Mirachel and it did not disappoint! The tasting room itself has a very laidback vibe and their super cute furry greeter, Brew, loved all the pets. All of their wines were unique but incredibly full of depth and character. As a bold red wine drinking family, the reds here fit our palates perfectly. All of the reds we sampled were deep and robust and full of flavour. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and we will for sure be back whenever we visit the Okanagan!

One of the most unattractive wineries of the many we went to nearby, but the wines were good. I suppose it’s neat to see a working vineyard without all the veneer some of the other places have, but a tasting room made out of something slightly nicer than a bunch of pieces of plywood would be nice.

What a unique and special experience we had during our visit to Van Westen Vineyards. I didn’t catch our hosts name, but she was an amazing person who was just full of energy and you could really tell she loved what she was doing. She spent a lot of time with us, and shared a lot of knowledge about the wine we tasted and also general wino knowledge. This is a smaller family run winery, but the quality of their product is extremely high. I would highly recommend stopping by is you’re in the area.
