I had been to Joie a few times before hand and although things have changed since COVID they have done an absolutely amazing job of adapting as well as making the wine tasting experience far more in depth and personal. Our sommelier Rachel walked us through the tasting with informative yet witty banter. She taught us a lot about the inception of Joie while also keeping things light and fun which made our experience there really great. We sat out on the private patio after becoming wine club members(which I definitely do recommend) to enjoy a glass of their Noble Blend. It was a great experience and the staff and atmosphere were very welcoming and accommodating. Joie is a must if you’re in the Naramata region. Their wine is unmatched.

One of the best wine tasting experiences I have had. Reserving a wine tasting session gives you a 1:1 opportunity to understand what wines Joie uses and a history of the winery. Lisa was such a lovely host. Would highly recommend Joie as a must do stop when you are in the Okanagan.

I was at Joie on Sunday, May 5 and was served by a woman who was on her first day. I have to write a review for two reasons: one, she was absolutely lovely and so friendly - she really did make the experience great for my aunt and I (and my puppy who happened to be off-leash for a minute sorry); two, the quaint atmosphere paired with some delicious whites at Joie was something to come back for. Joie's Noble Blend has been one of my faves for awhile, but now I love the Reserve Riesling.

We arrived here with high hopes - the property looked beautiful and we were excited to visit - Naramata has so much to offer. When I approached the tasting room I waited outside as per the note on the door. An older woman came out and asked me if I had an appointment which I confirmed I did not. Then her and another woman exchanged annoyed glances and told me that they couldn’t accommodate my husband and I because they were closed, even though they had an open sign in multiple spots and their google hours indicated they were still open. I asked why everything stated they were still open if this was so, and the woman snapped β€œour tastings are 45 minutes long AND they cost $25”! So rude and off-putting, at no point did I ask for the cost - very classless response. We will NOT attempt to visit again with this poor level of customer service, there are WAY too many good wineries in Naramata with impeccable customer service to waste time or a β€œwhopping (seriously? - not a problem) $25” here - what a shame! Also - after reading some other negative reviews it’s clear that there is a glaring theme of poor customer service and pretentious attitudes here. Keep in mind my husband and I had just come from an event meeting and were styled fashionably. There’s obviously just a poor service culture here.

I'm very surprised by the bad reviews. My husband and I absolutely adored our picnic experience at the winery. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted by a host who asked if we had been there before. She then explained that the pizza can take up to 30 minutes during busy times, so she suggested we put our pizza order in first then come in for a tasting while we wait. The ambiance on the lawn is rustic and casual. We easily found 2 seats in the shade, and even if the seats are full they have picnic blankets. The pizza was exceptional! SO good! The bottle Gewurtztraminer went great with the bianco pizza we ordered. We were so happy and relaxed that we ordered another pizza to share, even though we weren't hungry. My only complaint is that they don't sell wine by the glass...which turned out not to be a problem in the end :)

Joie Farm is a beautiful property, with a really nice tasting room and truly exceptional garden/patio area. They make pizzas onsite that looked really tasty, but we didn’t try them. The wine tasting experience here was one of my least favourite during this weekend tour, and it was primarily due to our host. We did not catch his name, so I will refer to him as β€˜The Frenchman’. While The Frenchman wasn’t overtly hostile/rude in any way, I would describe him as robotic, disingenuous and tired of going through the same routine as new customers show up to taste some wine. Rather than making the experience unique with each customer, he simply does the bare minimum and gets through the 5 wines offered as quickly as possible. The wines themselves were nice though, I especially enjoyed their Noble Blend.

This was the last stop on a last minute wine tour and we definitely saved the best for last. Very informative and enthusiastic hosts. Incredible view and location. I wouldn’t say I’m a big wine enthusiast but they had a few glasses that made me instantly feel I HAD to have that wine. They also provided great local recommendations that we took advantage of the next day.
