Good HK cafe spot. A bit pricy but the food was good. Went with a group of friends and ordered the 4 item which included the crab or lobster. It came out to about 22-25 dollars/person which yes, is a bit steep for HK cafe food, but the portions were surprisingly good. Got the crab in cream sauce and the crab was a fair size too. Remember, cash or debit only!

Update: some menu changes ( they got rid of the BUNNY CHOW- curry in the bread loaf!) and attitude changes. There was a broken chipped plate and we asked for a change. They took the plate away and told us we didn’t need one (for the big dishes sitting in the middle) it’s ok we’ll just pick at it with chop sticks. Portions are smaller and doesn’t taste as good. First world problems...ya I know. Old: Breakfast is amazing and for less than $11 you will walk or waddle away happy! The mini set meals here are awesome and decently priced. Honey garlic spareribs, sweet and sour deep fried fish, lobster fried in spicy seasoning/cream sauce over flat rice cakes are notable items for ordering if you are with a party big enough to enjoy a few variety of dishes. Decent portions, clean and quick.

My friend decided to eat dinner here because it is near our place. Huge portions of foods but we find it salty and oily. Definitely our last visit. We only like the server. She's nice and friendly. She gave us free soup.

This is an excellent Hong Kong style cafe. I appreciate their breakfast meal. Comfortable seating for the whole family. Staff are friendly, and service is quick. Meets expectations of Hong Kong style diner. I highly recommend this restaurant. Lunch set meal is also good deal. Good job!

Van Tea Cafe is another great spot for Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant reminds me of the classic Asian cafes in Hong Kong. However, their prices do not reflect the typical cheaper more affordable Asian cafes. Compared to other Asian Cafes in Vancouver and Richmond, their price is more steep. However, I do enjoy their e-fu noodles and steamed chicken claypot rice.

Huge portions and friendly staff. Came here for lunch and the dishes are dinner size. All meals comes with a free hot drink. Extra for cold drinks. Nothing really special about the menu. It’s your typical HK style restaurant. Every tables were sprayed with ammonia and wiped down. It’s cash or debit. No credit cards.

Their lobster (any style) set that include 2 other choices, rice and soup was again very good. This time we had salty egg yolk lobster, Hainanese chicken and braised beef brisket and tendon hot pot.

I love Hong Kong style cafes. This one didn’t disappoint but the price point was close to $20 a dish. The cold hk milk tea was delicious and the baked bolognaise was down right with chicken steak which was moist and tender. Parking was hard to find.
