D	David Reaich on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Contact Shane for some impromptu bike hire to take advantage of the weather. 2 Adult bikes, one with a trailer for our youngest, 1 kids bike and helmets for all. Great service would definitely recommend to friends who are visiting.

Bob the head mechanic was very friendly and gave me an overview of what he thinks might need to be fixed so I left my bike with him and a couple of hours later, I came back to a brand a new bike! It was clean, the gears were replaced and working, a tire was changed, and things that I didn't know were lose have been tightened. He even adjusted my seat, and the ride was smooth, easy, and so much more better. I only regret not dropping by sooner.

I thought I needed new tubes, but didn’t, and really appreciated their honesty in not up-selling or doing unnecessary work. Bike is running super smoothly ? Highly recommend if you’re looking for great service that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I’ll be back!

A	Alicia Huang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a visitor from Toronto. On Sep 13, 2021 around 12:00 pm, after I paid $73.50 for the rentals of two bikes in the company Van city bikes in BC. I found out that the return time of 5:00 pm is too early for me. So I asked the staff whose name was Holly for a refund. She said she did not have the authority for the refund. And the owner of the shop was out of town. She suggested me to send an email to the owner Shane Cooke and promised that I would get the refund. I send out the email with the transaction reference number 3941 as instructed and left the shop. After that I have contacted Shane Cooke a few times on phones and via emails. Every time he promised he would refund me. But I have never received the refund. And I didn't receive any response from Shane Cooke as well. This is a business fraud. I reported it to the Best Business Bureau in BC. They opened a case but later replied me the company had never responded to their request. So they closed the case. Then I have reported it to the Consumer Protection BC and waiting for the reply. I hope the government department can do something to stop this bad business behavior. I hope you can learn from my lesson before doing any business with this Van City Bikes.
