I can sum up these tours in one word... UNREAL!!! I did both the Surf and the Turf tour and I can't say enough great things about both of them. The tours were full of interesting facts, notable places, tips, and stunning views! Who knew Vancouver had such an amazing history? I am a local Vancouverite, and these tours gave me a whole new appreciation for this city I am so lucky to call home. Our tour guides were knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and all around fantastic!! I highly recommend Vancouver Toonie Tours to tourists and locals alike! These tours are a great way to spend 2.5 hours exploring this beautiful, world-renowned city. Thanks Vancouver Toonie Tours for a great day, I will be bringing friends and family back for more tours!

We took the three-hour tour of Vancouver on our first day in in the city, and couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the city's sights, history and culture. Logan, our tour guide, was delightfully entertaining. He was full of useful facts about Vancouver, of course, but what came through most strongly was his passionate feelings about the Canadian way of life and how it is expressed in the sites we visited. Logan's respect for the cultures we encountered on the streets of the city was compelling, and his company's commitment to sharing its profits with charities that serve the local population made us feel like we were giving something back to the city at the same time we were getting so much from it via this tour. Don't miss this tour, and do it early in you stay in Vancouver!

This tour is definitely A+! I was recently visiting Vancouver for the first time in over a decade and thought it’d be fun to do a tour of downtown since it’s changed so much since I was last there. I decided to sign up for one of the free walking tours that Toonie Tours offers. I’m so glad I did! Our tour began in the heart of Gastown where we met up with our tour guide, Nathan. Right off the bat Nathan was super friendly and engaging. He took time introducing himself and explaining what originally lead him to decide to make the city of Vancouver his home. The tour lasted for about three hours with a short break in the middle to grab coffees and bathroom breaks. Some might think walking for three hours would be tiresome, but there are many opportunities along the way to sit and rest your legs and, believe me, the three hours flies by quick due to how much fun the tour is. Nathan was extremely entertaining the entire time and was constantly providing our group with interesting history about the different areas we walked through and pointing out iconic landmarks. I honestly learned so much about Vancouver’s history and Nathan also recommended numerous hot spots that are worth checking out during one’s visit to the city. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Vancouver. I highly recommend to anyone. I’ll be checking out some of Toonie Tours other tours next time I am in Vancouver!

Walking tour, craft beer, and street art - what’s not to love?! Nathan was a great host. Very knowledgeable on all things Vancouver, excellent story teller, and effortlessly guided us around the city. The best part though, Nathan made us feel like old friends out for a night on the town rather than paying customers. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we booked another tour the next day!! Josh took us all over Vancouver for our 2nd tour. Equally knowledgeable and entertaining but with his own twist; Josh would periodically burst into song for a fun little game of... name that Canadian artist! Josh took us to the best fish & chips in town. (I’m not saying where, you’ll have to ask josh! ?) Toonie Tours made our trip to Vancouver! We left town with full bellies, full of memories, and 2 new friends!

I thoroughly enjoyed my Toonie Tours Walking Tour of Vancouver. I learned a lot about the city and about Canadian history, got to see some great spots in Vancouver that I wouldn't have seen on my own and got some great tips and ideas for my stay in BC. Logan was extremely passionate about giving us a great time and educating us! I would definitely recommend this tour!

We bumped into Josh and Logan purely by chance in Robson Street. The next 3hrs were spent learning about Vancouver, past and present. We opted for the turf tour and headed through Gastown via Yaletown instead of the surf tour, alongside the sea. Josh’s theatre background kept the tales entertaining and his love of history showed in his passion for the tales. These free tours rely on the generosity of its patrons to give what they can or feel that they deserve. Also, they are called toonie tours because they contribute to a local charity. We’d thoroughly recommend these tours to anyone looking for a way to get your bearings around Vancouver. Thanks again Josh!

Had an absolutely brilliant walking tour with Kelly this morning in Vancouver. She was so knowledgeable, helpful and very enthusiastic as she took us around the city. She was so cheerful and happy making it obvious that she loved her job. Would highly recommend.

I took the walking tour with Kelly the other day and had a fantastic time. I had initially been planning on trying a hop on-hop off tour, but after seeing a ton of bad reviews, I looked for other options - and I’m so glad I found Toonie Tours. Just for some background, I had been walking/hiking constantly since Friday, and this tour was on Monday, so I wasn’t exactly looking forward to being on my feet for 3 hours, but the tour was worth it! Kelly is relatively new to Vancouver but was so knowledgeable about everything, and she really encouraged people to get to know each other, and she genuinely seemed like she wanted to get to know the people in the group. The route was great, I feel like I saw so much more and learned more than I would’ve been able to on a self guided tour or on that hop on-hop off bus. Honestly, I’d take the tour again if I came back to Vancouver, or another one of Toonie Tours’ offerings because it was that enjoyable. I even met up with some people at my hostel who were on the same tour the day before with a different guide, and they really loved it as well. Highly recommend!
