Currently going through the usual pre-natal screening and have been using this location as it is close to my work. Never have I experienced bruising like I have at this location. I can't bend my arms for a week after and have to wear long sleeves. First testing I did they completely missed a form, despite the fact that I reminded them there were three separate forms. Guess I didn't need that genetic screening! This last round for glucose testing they completely failed to process my bloodwork. Took blood multiple times, from both arms but did not process the work. Go anywhere else. Do not use this location.

I was told to fast - no food for at least 8 hours before blood works - I fasted for 10 hours because I go to bed early! Got there at opening time, first there. I then had to wait 45 minutes while others who came in after me were dealt with. As a diabetic, I need food regularly and to be without for any real length of time is dangerous - I told them this but still had to wait. The reception staff were surly and unfriendly. They need training in personal skills - it must come from the top!

I will no longer use the Lake Country Facility. I went in to have blood work done (Diabetic) you don't need to fast for A1c. I advised I ate breakfast, receptionist took offence, I told her to do the blood work anyway. They did. Complained to some other man, who phone me at home and said I was rude, not so. My biggest problem is privacy, none in that office, waiting area is 12 x 8 has at least 10 chairs in it. 2 feet from receptionist to nearest chair, you can hear everything being said. They ask out loudly if you have a thyroid condition to every patient. Has a sign say stay behind ticket stanchion. You can hear anyway. Privacy issues with this office, the area for taking blood is small has two chairs no partitions, and sense of privacy, told to give urine sample, no instructions, washing etc where you get at most places. Told to put urine sample in basket in the line of sight of waiting area. Total lack of privacy, and that is worrisome. I have complained about this to staff previously, and don't use this location compared to Capri. Good staff, and private. This guy who called me was abrasive and very rude, I told him to listen to what I had to say. He told me to file a complaint with the College, which is going in the mail today. Then the Privacy Commissioner for BC, after I get (if I get a call back) from whomever. Enough is enough. It appears they are not going to tackle the privacy issues, like renovations or larger facility.

I never look forward to needing to go to a valley labs location. As a company they've done a disappointing job of managing this pandemic, closing many locations and allowing appointments only. Yet the earliest appointment is 5 weeks out. This has caused a congestion with long wait times and lines, with added travel times for people not in the core of Kelowna. Even using net check-in is a joke. The only thing nice about valley labs are the people you interact with, with most being very nice. However, often times they give the wrong information regarding testing which adds to the frustration.

Usually busy, but staff are always friendly and efficient. Always well organized, especially with Covid measures.

People that go get bloodwork are in pain and Sick! I needed to get bloodwork done today and I stood in line outside while it was raining for 20 minutes and I finally made it into the lobby. I tried to wait another 10 minutes but I was hurting so bad and was starting to not feel very good that I couldn’t wait anymore, and had to leave. I understand the bloodwork clinic is busy but at least realize who your clientele is and put some benches and chairs outside if you’re going to make people wait outside! This is extremely unacceptable.

I recently attended here for some blood work ordered by my doctor. I usually go to the Capri Mall location because they are closer, but with the pandemic they are appointment only, so the Leon Ave location is more convenient for me. Their pandemic safety procedures (for both clients and staff) are efficient and make me feel safe. Even though they were very busy when I went, they got clients in and out quickly and efficiently. The person that drew my blood was friendly and professional. Overall, a much better experience here than when I had to go to the KGH blood lab on two different occassions.

This is generally a great place to go ! Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I would say if your sensitive with blood being taken, ask for someone who is experienced. I’m a fainter and terrified of needles which the staff knows, so naturally I wouldn’t expect to get a student. He was very friendly, but the students should definitely gain a bit more experience or be accompanied by a supervisor if they’re going to insert the needle more than twice and leave a 3 inch bruise on the vein. He was very apologetic and was doing his best! Just something to watch out for!
