★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It seems like a bunch of stuff from a yard sale put on the shelf. None of it was a dollar. All of it overpriced for used yard sale items. Some was new but yikes. We even found used dirty stuffed animals that were years and years old that were overpriced. The cashier sent my elder mother using a walker to "the only close bathroom" that was a good ways away stating that the shops and stores can't afford bathrooms and to let people use them because plumbing costs money. After we went to the public washrooms. We went to a coffee shop, a gem store and a clothing store that all let us use their bathrooms for my mom and her bladder issues. Don't waist your time with this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent service, store has changed ownership. Much more stock than before, has a lot of excellent useful items. I go every week to see what is new and to stock up my craft supplies for my little one. Would definitely recommend checking it out and trying here before other stores. As well, suggestions are also taken into consideration for new stock items.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place must be experiencing tough times. I don’t have another explanation for the incredibly stingy no returns policy. I paid for balloons, but then changed my mind before they were filled. I hadn’t even left the store, but the owner refused to give me a refund - despite the balloons being unopened and the helium not being dispensed. The sale had not been finalized (I had paid but the items not yet delivered) and the owner still refused. To my understanding, this is in contradiction to her stated policy.
Generally the customer service in Invermere is top notch. I wish I could say the same for the Valley Dollar Shop. I will not be returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in hoping that they would carry seasonings and other baking "stuff", but they had nothing. Was very disappointed as it looked like they were JUST opening the store...very little on the shelves for being the only dollar store here.
