About Valley Bakery & Pastry Shop
It all began in 1980 when two brothers-in-law and their Father-in-law bought Dutch Bakery (the reason our bags feature a windmill and a dutch girl!) which was located on Mountain Avenue in Winkler, Manitoba. They changed the name to Valley Bakery and Pastry Shop and three years later moved the bakery to 251 Main Street where it still stands today. Jerry Penner bought his Father and Brother in-law out in 1983 and continued to operate the bakery, building the business into a retail and wholesale full line bakery offering fresh baked bread and pastries. The business grew and so did its reach, sending trucks of fresh bread and pastries out to stores and restaurants in communities around southern Manitoba.

โ โ โ โ โ This place has amazing deals. On the north wall as you get in they have a day old rack anything for a buck. Some things aren't old but to dark or less than a dozen. Sometimes its cake cookies and squares all priced at a dollar which is signifcant under a buck.
Also they seem to have new varieties of donuts that I haven't seen there before. Fast and friendly. Fresh.

โ โ โ โ โ Stopped by while passing through Winkler for work to grab donuts for a client meeting. Staff were incredibly friendly and pastries were top notch. Brought a loaf of cheese and onion sourdough back to Alberta for family to try and they couldnโt get enough. Will certainly be back next time Iโm in the area.
