★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sad there wasn’t as much variety for take away buns and sweets as other bakeries in the area. But very tasty looking treats, and a nice selection of cakes as opposed to others! (I get buns much more than full size cakes, but def check this place out if you’re looking for one!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My relatives frequent this dessert bakery and over the years I have been fortunate to be on the receiving end of many of their boxed delicacies. They have almond puffs (perfectly baked and never burnt), sesame crackers, and choco-chip cookies, but their walnut cookies are out of this world. Each boxed package comes with plenty to share. I'm not much of a cake guy, but the mango cake is light and fresh with lots of whipped icing which is pretty standard for chinese cakes. Confusing because of the French name, n'est-ce pas? Their product and packaging feels really high end and I had always wished that Seattle had something equal. Keke and Regent are there but not nearly the high quality of La Patisserie.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always love their buttercream coffee almond cake! Their cookies and buns are pretty good too! Went on Christmas to pick up some cakes and the owner happened to be there. She was really nice to us :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pastries average and overprice. I was a regular before they moved to this new location and now i don't come here at all. The slice of cake has shrank. The cookies are too dry. And the service is not good - Rushing people to pay and let people skip line. Do not recommend. There are many cake shops in Richmond which offer more unique cakes and better service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's our first time visit this bakery. We bought some fresh bread and the bread taste fresh. We wish there are more varieties to choose. We also saw many cakes available in the shop. We are most likely to come back to try them next time.

The store is inside a plaza and the prices are pretty reasonable considering. Customer service is pretty good. Smaller selection of buns. However the variety of the whole store is pretty good. My family is hooked on a particular puff pastery ingredient; that only this store does better than any other in richmond! Come earlier than later if you want more items =)
