★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited the Nelson Valhalla Pure today. I wanted a summer sleeping bag that was small and ultra light. I was lucky enough to be helped by Ian, a staff member. Ian was so helpful and attentive. He knew his stuff and clearly was an outdoorsman himself. I would revisit this store purely based on my experience with Ian.
Please give Ian a raise in pay if at all possible. He deserves it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sam, and the extended Valhalla family, have always generously donated socks, jackets and various winter gear to Stepping Stones Homeless Shelter. It makes a difference and the clients really appreciate it. Not only do they offer the best outdoors gear in town, they have a social conscience that extends deep into the community. Thank you!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been shopping at Valhalla Pure for over 15 years. Sam and his staff are always knowledgeable and helpful. Sometimes the product I wanted was not going to be the best product for me and I have always been happy with the product recommended .
In regards to Paul's comment is just is not true. VPO carries high quality gear at very competitive prices. If you want cheap junk shop online. If you want well suited quality gear that is supported by a well established local business head on over to Valhalla Pure you won't be disappointed.

Staff are friendly, keen and highly experienced and knowledgeable about their products. I stop in every time I am in Nelson.
