Busy, construction zone. Good model homes.

Good builder. Reasonable price for the square footage of homes. Our house looked very similar to the quality of the model homes we visited so we were very pleased with that.

When we purchased our Valecraft home we were given Scedule B. 1st paragraph LANDSCAPING -Nusery grown sod -Precast patio slab walkway -Tree planted -Asphalt basecoat driveway -Lot to be graded There is only 5 items in this category and on day 82 we have NONE of the above. Not even patio stones at the bottom of our outside stairs. Some owners have their patio stones piled one on top of the other. Safety hazard. Our stone driveway has a 3-4" in difference in height from the gravel and garage floor, nothing more than a tripping hazard.

I’m a happy client of Valecraft at Rathwell Landing thus far. Their prices are reasonable. Sales folks have been more than accommodating. Dealing with them went smooth. Post delivery service is also great. Not one item there to say that was reported but didn’t get looked at. On time closing. Got everything as promised. Good designs and collection to pick from. Excellent value for money compared to other competitors. I would recommend Valcraft to anyone.

Our house is well built, however, my wife and I did not have a good after-sales service experience. After we moved in December 6, 2018, on the evening of February 15, 2019, while watching TV, water started to drip on my head from the ceiling. The weather had become milder for a day causing some of the snow to melt. I immediately moved the couch, put down a couple pales to catch the water and called the Valecraft emergency number. To my surprise, I was told that this was probably my fault for not cleaning the snow of the roof and therefore, my responsibility to fix this issue?? There was only like 5 inches of snow on that side of the roof without any ice showing. In addition, the water point of entry was near the top of the roof where a wall and the roof met which appears to be more of a badly installed flashing issue than an ice dam issue. To make this story short, it is only after I bought a $200. ladder, climbed the roof myself, cleaned the problematic area and took closeup photos of the badly installed flashing that Valecraft finally agreed to call the roofer to fix it. In other issues, more recently, for the last 40 days we've been asking to get caulking done on our first floor windows, in the last 100 days, several times we've been asking to get flashing installed on our basement windows upper edge, last 14 days we've been asking to get the small parging crack fixed and see if there is a more serious issue behind the parging as it appears that one of the machine may have hit the foundation when they were grading the lot. So far, despite several emails sent and a couple of responses indicating that work orders were initiated, except for the roof, nothing of the above mentioned has been done.
