Uxbridge ReStore - Habitat For Humanity

Sure I will share my horrible experience with the Uxbridge location...do not deal with them at all!! A woman named Kirsta was rude and clearly broke company policy...maybe for her own personal gain I dont know...I was interested in a desk that had a sold sign on it pending pick up on August 20th,2020 by 3 PM. On Thursday I left work early to get there to see if it gone. It was still there..even though the sold sign clearly marked for the client to pick up by 3pm. I arrived at the store at 3 25 PM.. the desk was still there...I offered to buy it but i was told by both by Julian (store assists mgr) and her assistant Krista that they had called the client and she was to come and pick the desk up. I called the at ten minutes before store closing time and they informed me that if it was not picked by that time, the item would be replaced for sale on the floors. I decided to take a chance and loose 3 hrs of work to hopefully secure a product they said would be back on the floor for sale again the next morning. I took more time off work in the AM assuming the item was not picked up and I had a chance to purchase. Only to find put from the store associate Krista that she had called the lady again for pick up of the item i was interested in. Well past date of Aug 20th,2020 by 3pm and i was told that I would have to wait once again..I left the store a little angry at this stupidity. Ii was embarrassed in front of my kids (whom I wanted to buy the desk for school) and also humiliated confront of customers in the store as the store associate Krista proceeded to walk up to me personally in the store..with no mask on..invaded my bubble and put her hand to my shoulder and pushed me out and closed the door. I have made complaints to the store manager as well as the VIP of Habitat for Humanity and them both are aplaud the staffs conduction. My next step will be filing a police report...if you read this review...please be take heed of their policies and procedures.

Kind of dumpy looking but it is for a good cause so thanks for helping the community

In the beginning, prices were incredibly fair. I don't know who's pricing the items lately, but I'm not paying $300 for a $20 dresser. Do better with your pricing and things will move quicker.

Purchased laminate flooring which was donated for free. Charged $25.00 per box Mgr would not negotiate as if it came out of her pocket. Told no returns. Later found out that this product is a Home Depot product $3.00 cheaper with returns. Stop being greedy soon no one will buy and you and all the gready thrift stores will be out of business. Remember what your selling was donated free free free.

I dropped off a donation and I found them to be very friendly and helpful.

Wonderfull little srore that offers some vintage furniture, friendly staff in my experence, look forward to dropping in for look C experence.

Took a good quality hardwood painted table and chairs to drop off. There was nothing wrong with it at all. The lady stated there was an issue with the colour and would not take it. Sad in today's day that stores that are supposed to be set up to help people in hard times do not take good useable table and chairs. I will not take anything to this store going forward and will find alternatives in the future. Response to the Owners comment: FYI I did call before I came over. Again the issue according to your staff was the colour and not that they did not have room or anything else. The set was in excellent condition and again if you truly are in this to help people then the set could have been taken and sold cheaply (due to the colour) to someone that really needs it. As stated I will donate elsewhere going forward that helps the less fortunate.

I went today to make a donation, open boxes of staples, light bulbs, open boxes of screws, some wire, a light fixture, an end table etc. I didn't bring garbage, all useful stuff. Had 2 open bottles of Goo-gone. They were refused. Can't take hazardous chemicals. Really! They sell paint thinners, turpentine, etc. WOW! They questioned every item as to whether or not they could resell it. Inside the store was near empty. No where near what they had pre-pandemic. I don't know if I will donate again.
