About Utility Network & Partners Inc

There's no magic in building a successful company, only hard work and experience.

Articulating a clear mission, hiring the right people, setting goals --- and then resolving the inevitable conflicts that arise. Given the uncertainty of today's government energy policies the latter task is truly the tricky part!

What makes us different? Innovation without borders. The willingness to risk and invest our own money into a dream of building a private utility network of companies.

Some called us crazy to think we could compete against the big regulated utilities. However, after 40 years in the business, most of those that doubted us have retired and the new breed of utility executives and energy marketers are more often than not, trying to catch up and copy what we are doing.

As we look to the future we are expanding our commitment and service provided to our core industrial clients and will invest in other people who “Dare to Dream”.

Our goal over the next decade is to gift back into the community in which we live. And, having fun doing it.

Horrible business ethics. I chose to follow Peace Power (the energy marketer) to the Sponsor Energy.

Socially conscious company that actually focuses on doing things locally instead of outsourcing jobs to the other side of the world when Alberta is struggling to keep people employed. They also support community energy initiatives and help to anchor local funds which benefits everyone.

I signed up with Peace Power not you! Taking customers just because they decided to go with a different provider is childish and wrong. Unethical business practices is a good way to lose the customers you legitimately got.

I would rate a 0 if i could. NOT because of the product it self but the customer service, we asked about our rate expiring and mentioned that ATCO had a better rate. From there we got a long winded political email about how bad ATCO is there outsourcing etc. from there we were told "such is life" if we switch to them and they will not help with our rate. They could of gone about it a million different ways, I am all for shopping and staying local or provincial for companies. But if you can't answer a simple rate question without a huge rant and cutting down the competitor and making us feel attacked, you are not a company I want to do business with.

Before Utilitynet.ca, I was so tired of penalties and contracts, being kept in the dark by the big corporate providers, and frustrated because of being in the wrong plan without anyone advising us. It was a breath of fresh air when I found this new provider. They answered all my questions thoroughly before I signed up, especially the purpose and process with the Prudential. I was first drawn to Utilitynet.ca because of their obvious community involvement contributions, shown by their partnerships with many municipalities and regional groups. I love their strong Alberta spirit, and that they compete favourably in a market of giants. They're like little David in a world of Goliaths, bold and quietly confident in battle. The sign-up process was simple and straightfoward, and the plans are competitive and fair, and flexible. And most of all, reinvestment stays in Alberta for Albertans. Help desk staff and owner Nick are terrific to deal with.
