Union Salon

I had a fantastic experience today with a mens cut from Janis. She gave me a great haircut, it was exactly what I had expressed that I wanted. She made me feel very comfortable, she was very friendly and great to talk to during the haircut as well. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience getting my haircut by Meghan, she understood what I wanted and I love the way my hair looks. The atmosphere is is professional and also comfortable and everyone made me feel welcome. I will definitely be returning to get my hair cut and styled by Meghan again.

Worst salon I have ever gone to. Danielle Zitron was unprofessional, butchered my hair (both the incredibly uneven bleaching and uneven cut), literally asked DURING my appointment if I wore my hair down often and if it “mattered” if the bleaching was even underneath. When I contacted the salon a week later for the portfolio photos she had taken they had mysteriously disappeared (luckily I still have my own), etc. The initial job at Union cost me upwards of 400$ (Which is understandable for good stylist work, but in this case any respectable stylist would not have made me pay for the damage to my hair, or even let me walk out of the salon with that hair “job”). Danielle made no efforts to help me when I reached out to her about being unhappy with it. When I came in for a comp fix, I had called to explain the situation and rebook, but the staff seemed confused and hesitant to accommodate me what I thought was already settled. It went as far as them asking if I had gone to another stylist after my appointment, or tried to cut it myself in the bathroom. While I was in the salon two separate stylists on the floor made sure I knew that the comp fix job was coming out of the company budget and that they were reallyyy doing me a favour. The comp itself turned out to be a slight trim, and a purple toner that did nothing to the patchy orange bleach job. The uneven bleaching itself was left alone. This experience was awhile ago, but I have not posted publicly about it until now due to the guilt and shame surrounding it. I just feel that its important to leave this here as a warning. Best of luck going to this salon, but do NOT book with Danielle, and do not come here for any type of fix unless you want to be shamed or gaslit for something a pseudo-professional stylist did to your hair.

They offer complimentary beverages when you walk in and have a friendly staff that is very welcoming. The pricing is on the higher end so if you are looking for a quick cut this is not the place for you. If you want your hair to be loved and feel loved by their professional staff when you leave, then this is the place for you.

Alex did an amazing job with my hair! She is a great stylist and would highly recommend.

My appointment for a trim with Jessica was wonderful! She is such a sweet and lovely human being who clearly cares about her clients. She did a great job of communicating and making sure she satisfied all of my needs and desires for my cut!

First came for a rescue after another salon cut my bangs into something beyond grim. Shane recovered my dignity, and made the worst hair ever look decent. Yesterday I went back for haircut, and got a flattering, lovely cut that is so nice, it's blown me away (pun intended). It's perfect, and today its falling perfectly; there is none of that "why can't I style it like he can!" stress one often gets the day after a haircut. He's so sweet, very talented, and gave me perfect hair. Three cheers for Shane and five stars for Union Salon.

The salon is beautiful, and very aesthetically pleasing. I love my haircut. Shane was awesome!! He was professional and knew how to handle my hair. They earned a new regular customer! Good work!!
