About Ukrainian Museum of Canada
Our Galleries
We offer three galleries, The Main Gallery, William Kurelek Special Collections Gallery, and our Feature Gallery.
Our Main Gallery contains an overview of immigration to Canada, featuring cultural, religious, and heritage displays and artefacts. The William Kurelek Special Collections Gallery features a series of original paintings by William Kurelek that were commissioned by the UWAC National Executive. The paintings celebrate Kurelek’s mother’s Ukrainian heritage, and the Ukrainian women pioneers. Exhibits in the Feature Gallery change regularly – three to four times per year!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Going to UMC is like entering a magnificent well built castle that has many stories to tell. It is so clean, the artifacts well labelled, and the staff at the front are always helpful and polite. Only top quality products are found in the Gift Shop...excellent place to buy friends or family a heartfelt gift. I bought a gold orthodox cross there which is very special to me. If you're reading this, please consider donating to UMC so we can keep our castle thriving. Big thanks to the Director and staff. God bless.

This is a small museum but packed with information about the history of Ukrainians coming to Canada.
The a lady in the museum was very informative and pleasant.
Admission is 8 $ for some it may seem expensive for to me whether you spend and hour or more is still worth the price .
There is a little gift shop, one should inquire about how they create the Ukrainian eggs , what the colours and symbols mean.
You will be truly surprised and the amount of time to create on these wonderful works of arts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an “I wish” museum. I wanted to explore the history of Ukrainian immigration and settlement in Saskatchewan. A large number of displays present a wide range of artifacts. However, I wish….the information cards were posted on the walls….sometimes 6 feet from where visitors are permitted. The font is too small to make them legible. I wish I was able to read the information accompanying the displays. I suspect if you are of Ukrainian heritage then the museum would be a delight in revisiting family memories.
